But that's the issue with saying things such as "as long as they don't block my way," the whole POINT of a protest is to make those not protesting feel uncomfortable and to inconvenience them so they have no choice but to pay attention to the issue.
Martin Luther King Jr.'s march from Selma to...
I disagree that violence and destruction invalidates any message. The Boston Tea Party is often seen as one of the most important rebellions in United States history, and that involved the destruction of LOTS of property. Any good progress that has been made in the U.S., whether it be women's...
The concern is legitimate but in the US, and especially at WDW, it would be considered VERY rude to take a 9 (looks 11, so people might think he's 13 or something) year old boy into the women's restroom. It would not be rude, however, to let your DS go into the mens' restroom and you just wait...
Hello, I plan on attending the D23 expo in August. I was wondering if there are any events that you have to sign up for before you attend, such as important people speaking or other activities, or is everything a free for all once you get there?
I'm sure you're not the only one! The first time I went, I stayed off site and it was great of course, but every other time I've stayed on site (at WDW, not DLR or TDR) and I've enjoyed that so much. It's like Disney immersion, which is fantastic but expensive so it makes sense why some would...
It's a mix of the fact that they're a huge company so that if they charge more they get more money, the fact that more people will come "on season" regardless of how much higher the prices are, the fact that they probably have more people working there, and much harder, on season than off, and...
I agree with all of the BBB sentiments. I don't like Fantasmic as much as everyone else seems to but I still enjoy it. I don't really get Test Track either but I haven't been on the new one, I've only seen videos on YouTube, so maybe that would change my mind. Again, I enjoy Test Track but I...
I would say, especially with kids that young, to see Wishes and IllumiNations and skip Fantasmic. If I could only see two, those would also be the two that I'd see. I think Wishes and IllumiNations are really entertaining while Fantasmic is not only potentially frightening but it relies too...
I have never had a bad experience that resulted in a CM acting out of character or rude or anything like that. And I'm the type of person who remembers when something goes wrong. The CM's have always tried hard to make the experience enjoyable, even though not everyone's perfect. My last trip...
I would probably end up doing more nice restaurants. We usually just eat the fast food, and we've done almost every ride that we want to before so it wouldn't be a big deal to miss a ride in exchange for a nicer dining experience for lunch or dinner. In mind, I've had the Luau at Poly, Sanaa, Be...
Resorts - The only one I've stayed in is Coronado Springs and I'd definitely stay again!
MK - Stitch, duh. Monster's inc. Laugh Floor, I liked it but I just don't really need to see it again. MNSSHP was fun, but it isn't necessarily worth the extra money and I wasn't crazy about the fireworks...
But... that's what American history is....
anyways, I guess if you're big on rides, then World Showcase would probably not be for you. But I love the entertainment, especially the bands at Morocco, the acrobats in China, and the mini "theater troop" at the UK.
Really? I don't like the idea of paying to get ahead in the line. I like the fastpass system the way it is now - free, and if you've done your research you get ahead in lines, not just because you have a bigger budget than others.
Maybe I'm just saying this because Universal has that system and...
I agree with what most have said in this thread, and would like to add Winnie the Pooh to the list. Not that it's a bad ride here, but if you've ever been to Tokyo Disneyland, WDW's just pales in comparison.
Every kid is different, but I figure MOST kids would be OK on Everest or TOT. Can you only go to one of those two parks? Then you'd have to weigh the benefits. TOT is a better ride than Everest, IMO, however AK is probably a better park overall.
It's best not to judge. There are so many disabilities that someone can have. Some make it easier to stand up (i.e. standing in line), but very hard to walk around, others make it easier to walk around, but they can't stand up... some can't do either. The worst is when people judge teenagers and...
