Disneyland at Christmas/Holiday Season Superthread #3!- HOLIDAYS BEGIN 11/12/13!!

As far as I remember they show every night. I have been away for a long time and seeing your Christmas post made me smile, Sherry. Just like old times :)

    Ap?'s Sorry

Seaworld is okay, but quite the drive for the day. The really neat things, swimming with the dolphins, adds extra costs and there are age limits. The beach might be a nice break for a day. You're not crazy to get an AP, and you can purchase now and activate it when you get there. Price...

    September Hours - OHHHH YES!!!!!

I am amazed at the amount of people surprised each year that park hours get cut in September. School has begun again for the entire country, crowds are considerably lower and all attractions ( theme parks, zoo etc) across the country has slimmed their hours down by this point. I'm...

    Disneyland in July

Crowds fluctuate and it's hard to predict, but you can count on the parks being busy. This past Thursday the weather was gorgeous and splash was 110 minute wait by late afternoon. We went back Friday, after rain showers early, and that line was half as long even though crowds were...

Tall enough to ride..... with an adult? or just someone bigger?

You've already gotten great info. Rides like dumbo where the ride vehicles are separate will be an issue, however even the two four year olds can sit together in a row of the vehicle at snow white, Winnie the pooh, or IASW. Don't skip a ride because the seating situation seems complicated...

High levels of lead exposure found at Disneyland

My kids go once a week or more and each time they have been tested at the dr for their checkups they have been just fine. I really wouldn't worry. This article is silly.

Mainstreet Dining changes post on the Disney Blog.

I'm excited for the Carnation Cafe to offer indoor seating. I think I remember eating breakfast indoors as a child there? I love me some rootbeer floats too!

Disney like to break the ruuuules....(protesters/union members strike mentioned)

I think Dreams means that their entire point is to be jerks and get us to complain to Disney about their noise. In the hopes that if Disney is bothered enough they'll cave...but it sounds like they do not even want that so idk. Those people need to get a life.

Disney like to break the ruuuules....(protesters/union members strike mentioned)

I first started staying there when Disney first took over and it was the Disney Pacific hotel...elevators were a joke then and sounds like they still are!! We no longer stay there due to that and it's the furthest from the parks. Plenty of elevators over at GCH thankfully :) Anyway...those...

JetBlue....Starting to tick me off. REVISED - I am no longer ticked!!!!! Yeah!!!!

All airlines do shady things like the OP mentioned. I have flown at least a hundred times on many airlines and *almost* always experience a time change, minor or major, and other issues. Plane malfunctions, weather etc. Flying is always a risk. Just because you pay for a ticket to ride their...

Star Tours FP - do they run out by 2pm?

Considering the fact that you'll be lucky to get a closing time FP at noon I'd say your chances are none. If waiting in an hour plus line isn't worth skipping with a morning FP then I wouldn't count on riding ST this visit.

What are they doing to Pirates of the Caribbean?

It has been down a lot lately. It just needs some major TLC. I dont think people realize how big that attraction is when they think it's going to open with a reverse track or something. I am looking forward to it being refreshed when it reopens :)

    :( Is it true?

We like going several times in sept before halloween season begins because it is so empty. Probably will be more so this year due to so many closures. I guess its the best time to get stuff done before the busy holidays roll around! It is sad but what can you do.

Costco SoCal 4-day park hopper :)

If you are staying on property you can use each MM that is available during your stay, they'll just ask to see your room key! It has the dates printed on it and they can just verify you're a hotel guest and that's that. This is how we're able to use MM with our APs. Have a great trip! :)

    Ticket questioin

Or perhaps they upgrade to an AP if they'll be back within a year and then they wont need tickets for their next trip? When we upgraded our parkhoppers to renew our APs they grilled us asking each day we entered and which park we went to. I know they have been doing this for a while but it...

OMG 405 to be closed in July!

I agree with cyclenut. I feel like perhaps it is forgotten that those other routes which are "nowhere near the 405" will now be packed. They truly aren't joking when they say stay home if you can lol this is going be huge! I'd leave much earlier than planned, pack lots of food and water and just...

    how bad will it be??

I'm not going to sugar coat this. It is going to be CRAZY busy. We went that week a few days the last 2 years and I keep asking myself why we do it lol Because the SoCal APs are finally able to return after many long weeks of being blocked out. It was insanity. Hot and crowded beyond belief...

What would you do - Trip near President's Day

We went sat/sun of pres weekend last year and it was not crowded at all. Sunday was much more than saturday. However, the weather was super chilly with rain showers and I know that kept the crowds away. We didn't mind because I knew it'd be packed otherwise. We did leave the parks earlier than...
