    Typhoon Lagoon towels

Ha! Oops. We were there for a full day earlier this month and never figured that out. Saw all the cabana people with them, and all the towel return bins, but never found the towels. We just dripped dry and headed home. Good to know for the future.

    a few general questions

While not required anymore, it was SOOOO convenient! Sometimes there were long lines at the restaurants and I could just mobile order while standing there (or while going to grab a table) and BAM, ready in a minute and just go pick it up. I didn't think I'd like it but I ended up using it at...

    Haunted Mansion vs Space Mountain

As a Disneyland fanatic, I was BEYOND underwhelmed with the WDW Space Mountain when I went last week. Like... would be fine NEVER going on the WDW version EVER again it's so inferior. So, HM all the way if we're talking about WDW!

    FYI: Na’vi River Bummer

We just went on again today and they DID have the animatronic Shaman! Really glad we went again!

    FYI: Na’vi River Bummer

Yes but yesterday it was 140!!! Nutty! We are going back Friday. Will see if it is back up.

    Ha yes, still no Yeti.

    FYI: Na’vi River Bummer

Oh absolutely! Just a cautionary tale about getting excited based on ride-through videos. :) In other news, Flight of Passage blew our socks off!

    FYI: Na’vi River Bummer

FYI we were at Animal Kingdom today (5-30-22) and went on Na’vi River. This was our first time, but we had watched a YouTube video and were excited to see the crazy expensive animatronic at the end. Well, they must be doing refurb on it because… it’s just a lame projection on a screen right now...

For those there right now, are more park reservations opening the day before or so?

I had MK reservations for Friday but we decided we want to do Animal Kingdom that morning instead, so I cancelled by two this afternoon. I’m sure they were scooped up instantly, but just wanted to say that people’s plans CAN change. For anyone curious, the reason I cancelled is because I...

    Should I cancel, modify, etc.....

I can't speak for Disney since I don't work there, but my family does live in Florida and I've been to visit several times since the pandemic began. It's not in the rear view mirror... it's below the horizon. I live in Washington state which was one of the last places to lift restrictions (and...

    Should I cancel, modify, etc.....

I won't ask if you're vaccinated, but if you are (and boosted), I'd feel fairly confident. I got my second dose in April 2021 and was boosted in January of this year. I've traveled to some REALLY busy places - nightclubs in Las Vegas, sporting events in Miami, bars, weddings, conventions... and...

Planning for May 25 through May 30, Guardians?

No advice, but I’m in the same boat! I have to go over Memorial Day Weekend due to scheduling and already anticipated crowds because, well, I’ve been reading these boards since I booked months ago haha. If it works out to ride it, great, but in general I’m thinking I’ll try to avoid it. Guess...

    Victoria BC - AirBnB suggestions?

I also recommend staying near Inner Harbour. Victoria is going through some crime stuff since Covid, not as bad as Vancouver but still not great. The closer you stay to the tourist hub the more protected you’ll be.

? about Canadians crossing to US

In that case it totally sucks of them to not be willing to give you a refund, but they aren’t jerking your chain about the restrictions. Canada is taking the rules very seriously. I’ve crossed into Canada once in Nov. 2021 for work and needed proof of vaccination, a negative PCR test, and was...

In your opinion, Do you think annual passes are coming back this month? Any intel out there?

They may read these boards, but truth is these boards represent, for the most part, careful planners that are already going anyway, or Disney fanatics. We may feel like they should take us into consideration, but the amount of extra money they can make by not offering the old AP program is much...

I'd recommend visiting a laundromat before just buying new clothes so you have something to wear for the day.

Is 6 days too long for a kid who's had no Disney exposure?

Thank you. This is really helpful advice. I don't have kids of my own and while I know what and when I need to eat, I wouldn't necessarily have been thinking about that for her. Will make sure I keep us both hydrated and well-nourished!

Is 6 days too long for a kid who's had no Disney exposure?

I ended up ordering the 2022 Birnbaum book for kids. It's already outdated (with Genie+ and all now!) but she won't know that part. I'm going to have her read through it and see what strikes her fancy. :)

Thank you! Love the idea of getting her involved in the planning.
