TDR Trip Report! Finished! (DisneySea, Disneyland, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Hong Kong, Hong Kong Disneyland)

Thanks for reading! I love writing them as a way to be able to remember the trips, as a way to help people plan, but also to relive it! I love reading other people's reports, too. It is always so interesting to see different choices and opinions!

    Difference in Military Tickets

You go to any guest services (even Disney Springs) to activate them. But you can even add the vouchers to MDE before you go and make fastpasses. You don't need actual tickets to do this, just the numbers on the vouchers.

TDR Trip Report! Finished! (DisneySea, Disneyland, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Hong Kong, Hong Kong Disneyland)

Hi! I understand about dreaming and planning! It's almost all I've been doing :) We did not have an issue in our trip to any part of Asia. We really were concerned before going and it was not a problem. The fact that we knew how to say hello and thank you very much, made most Japanese people...

Disneyland Paris Will Reopen July 15 Village Nature Opens June 22

My brother is supposed to fly to Paris tomorrow and visit DLP this weekend. I think he's changing his plans b/c he's afraid France is going to lift to a Level 3 travel advisory, which means they could cancel flights back to the US from there. I feel bad for him.

    Moving up fastpasses

Don't worry yourself trying to do it from now until your trip. Seriously, like others said, wait until the night before or the day of and keep refreshing the time. I was able to get so many new fastpasses one after the other this way at MK and at Epcot. I don't know why, but if you just keep...

    Lots of Random Questions

I can answer some! 4. We used an American debit card with no issues at ATMs. Just be sure to let your bank know ahead of time! 5. Capitol One all the way. 8. Google translate's camera feature is a lifesaver. It translates signs and menus in real time. Super cool. Uber is great in Japan, too...

    Need help ... lotta help

Read trip reports! That's the best place to decide what you want to do in my opinion and you will read about people doing things you may not have considered. That first-hand experience people write about is so helpful! And pics are nice, too ;)

    How's June?

We went at the end of June last summer. We had three days at TDR and out of the three, one day it rained A LOT until dinnertime. We still managed to do DisneySea, but it really rained hard for several hours. We were in Japan for about 10 days total and this was the only day it really rained. It...

TDR Trip Report! Finished! (DisneySea, Disneyland, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Hong Kong, Hong Kong Disneyland)

Hi and sorry for the late response... holidays got me :P I'll answer to the best of my ability! 1.) I am a vegetarian, eat no meat (including fish) at all, not even broths. I did OK. It was not the easiest country to visit as a vegetarian, but it was fine. They do have a ton of seafood, but...

Completed: Hong Kong Disneyland Trip Report (also TDR and more)

We bought a T-shirt that's pretty plain and just says "Hong Kong Disneyland" on it for my son, but I couldn't find it to take a pic. Most of the shirts were a little too loud for what my kids like to wear. I bought Mickey and Minnie key chains that I plan to use as Christmas ornaments. I also...

Hi guys! I am in the process of writing my trip report from our visit this summer to Japan and Hong Kong. I just posted the start to our Hong Kong time. Up next will be Disneyland Hong Kong. Sharing for those of you lucky enough to still be planning! We had a fantastic time, much thanks to...

Please come in and check out our rough draft plan for 2 weeks in Japan, thoughts & suggestions... updated 10/22

I think you are off to a great start! Use the website I gave you to see if the pass is worth it for you or not. I would fly just to save time if it were me. I would suggest getting the pass (if it's worth it) that comes with reserved seats so you don't have to worry about not sitting together...

TDR Trip Report! Finished! (DisneySea, Disneyland, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Hong Kong, Hong Kong Disneyland)

@LovesTimone I really went back and forth with the JR pass for us. I do think it would be convenient to have it, but in the end for my family it was cheaper and shorter to fly to Hiroshima and to take the faster shinkansen from Hiroshima to Kyoto. Did you plug in where all you're going to see if...

TDR Trip Report! Finished! (DisneySea, Disneyland, Tokyo, Hiroshima, Kyoto, Hong Kong, Hong Kong Disneyland)

I walked in Disneyland in Tokyo and was like, crap, I don't know where anything is LOL! At least the Disneylands are similar enough that it's easy to figure it out. DisneySea, however, I was totally lost. My kids always grab the maps. They like looking at them. Go figure. @wishing4PA I'm...

How much cash will we need? Ballpark figure? Options? Lets talk money!

Most places in Tokyo used credit cards, honestly. The places that didn't were the smaller restaurants. We bought metro passes in Tokyo and that was very nice to have. Kyoto had less credit card use, but we were still fine. When we were out in Arashiyama most places were cash only, but we found a...
