How strict is disney on the 6 person DAS rule

You’ll need to speak to the CM who gives you the DAS in the first place to designate your party. It’s generally their discretion: 6 is the limit, they may occasionally allow more, but I’d be prepared for them to not allow it.

    Early park hours

In my (limited) experience, if a ride is reporting a wait time, you can get a return time for it. So at the MK you might be able to get a return time for Peter Pan since it’s included in early hours, but not for Big Thunder Mountain.

    DAS and pre-selection and genie+?

I will say that this morning we entered Hollywood Studios partway through the early hours for resort guests, and we were able to make a return time for Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway before the park officially opened. I suspect it depends on whether the attraction is reporting a wait or not?

    DAS not showing in app

That just means you have scanned your tickets and are inside the Park. The person with the DAS needs to have entered the park before you can book return times.

    DAS not showing in app

Well, good news, a Guest Experience CM was able to help. He actually had to cancel our DAS (which did not cancel the Advance selections) and re-approve my son, and then after signing out and back in again, the tile appeared. Kind of a pain, but it all worked out!

    DAS not showing in app

Thanks! We are tapped in and I logged out of the app, rebooted my phone, and still nothing. Bummer.

    DAS not showing in app

We pre-registered for DAS and have our Advance selections. However, now in the park the link isn’t in our app to schedule others. Any tips? The CM I spoke to wasn’t sure but booked us one.

DAS requesting the 2 rides per day

Experiences seem to vary. There’s no harm in trying now, you could at least get a day or two done, and then wait for the rest if you have to. If you’re going for more difficult rides like Slinky Dog, it’s probably better to request as early as possible (that one we couldn’t get).

Adding day to park-hopper tickets -- existing reservations?

We’re here now and wanted to add an extra day (today) onto the end of our 3 day park hoppers. The ticket booth sent me away saying there were no park reservations available until October 17. Luckily I am staying at the Grand Californian, and they were able to add the extra day and make the...

Which tickets to scan at gate ?

Thank you! I assume we can scan the tickets for all 4 of us from my phone?

Which tickets to scan at gate ?

Following as I have the same question! I have our tickets in my Disneyland app, and the QR code’s for the reservations in my email. It feels like a lot of juggling between things to get in.

    Grand Californian Super Thread

It was a one bedroom. I know we’re losing out on a few aspects (kitchen, laundry), but honestly we were just thrilled to get SOMETHING, and losing those things is less of a problem on a shorter stay. I didn’t realize that was the cause. It took a long time for them to actually get us a...

    Grand Californian Super Thread

Thank you all who’ve given information on the suites! We’re really excited!! We had originally booked the GCV through our DVC membership, and because of a glitch they had overbooked, and moved us to the hotel side suite. We’re looking forward to trying something new.

    Grand Californian Super Thread

Hello! We are heading to GCH in October, and have a 1 bedroom suite booked (hotel side, not DVC). I’d be interested to hear anything that people are willing to share about these rooms as I’m not finding a lot online about them. Also, does anyone know if the hotel offers rollaway beds? My teens...

Dreams Unlimited Travel Podcast | Comparing DCL, RCCL, and Celebrity Concierge

I really enjoyed this episode. One question, I noticed that with the exception of taking about the room that didn’t work on the Magic there wasn’t much of a comparison of the staterooms themselves. Is that because they were fairly similar in terms of room quality, size, esthetics, etc? We are...

    Deluxe beverage package

I’m sure you know this, but you don’t have to buy a drink package. You can just pay a la carte for all of your drinks, which often tends to be a better deal unless the drink package is heavily discounted. They also frequently sell a punch card for alcoholic drinks in the final few days of the...

Help me get excited about Universal....

Be excited! It’s great in a different way from Disney. We have always stayed at Royal Pacific: we like the theming and it’s reasonably close to the parks. I think Hard Rock is slightly closer, but we walked around the lobby and didn’t really enjoy the theming. We did like Portofino, and it has...

    Express Pass Disappointment

So if that’s true, that’s the information I was looking for. At other times, EP has practically been a walk on, and we were expecting something more like what FP offers in terms of the 20 minute wait. Interesting that Universal would charge $180 per day (which is what the app was quoting for the...

    Express Pass Disappointment

There was a phased closure on New Year’s Eve, from about 11:30 to 5 or so.

Wondering about having a Return Time for a different park then the one I’m in...

I’d agree that you might want to get your Soarin’ return time when you go in the afternoon. We were told that as members of the DAS party leave the park, the DAS disappears. In fact, we had a return time for Pooh on New Year’s Eve for the 4 of us under my son’s DAS. My daughter got sick and my...
