how much of a necessity is it to have a car where you live?

PATCO doesn't to any city but Philadelphia, unless you count Camden. It is a commuter rail service from Jersey suburbs in part of Camden County to Philadelphia. The last stop also houses NJ transit train that goes down to Atlantic City.

how much of a necessity is it to have a car where you live?

Necessary if you don't want to use Uber /taxi or Instacart/ delivery . There are restaurants we can walk to along with a hardware store. The main public transit is PATCO which goes into Philadelphia (Center City). We both used that for work before we retired . But even then we needed a car to...

    What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Tonight was Ribeye steak cooked on our grill. As sides baked potato and our 1st corn on the cob in 2024. The local farm market/garden center had fresh corn from Southern states ( that's what the sign said). Far too early for Jersey corn , but it was very good.

    What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Tonight was going to be steak, but called an audible. So DH & I went to Carrabba's. I had lasagna and DH had spaghetti & meatballs. My lasagna was huge so DH had some. That left us enough spaghetti ( no meatballs though) to use as a starch side Sunday. Will do steak tomorrow.

    What’s for Dinner Tonight?

Hope the attachment below shows up. I'm cooking for only 2 so I cut down the gnocchi, etc. I switch between pancetta and prosciutto. I buy diced at Wegman's. Use them in eggs too. I do keep the liquid for 4 instead of cutting it in half. Was too dry IMHO. I also add a little white wine...

My favorites are a tie, bacon or sausage patties. Followed by sausage links and Taylor Pork roll. AKA Taylor Ham in North NJ. Usually when we eat out for breakfast. At home it is sausage patties. Jimmy Dean is the one I usually buy.
