Is there any reason DVC has to have an exchange partner. I get it sounds good on paper but it seems like a hassle for them and it’s not a benefit I’ve heard a lot of people use

That’s what I thought but I have heard a lot of RCI members talk about getting DVC reservations and not a lot of DVC members talk about getting RCI reservations. Perhaps the unbalanced aspect was one reason to change.

I’m always curious how this works, does the partner (RCI, II) only get points at DVC resorts when a DVC owner wants to trade into their network and vice versa? Or do they each hold a pool of points for each other and add/take as members trade in and out?

We just got back and did the Paradise Cove one. It’s walking distance from Aulani and right in the beach. Lots of Hawaiian activities before the show. Show itself has some amazing acts, but there are some more... cheesy... ones mixed in too. Still a nice evening. They also have good coupons, so...

We just got back from Aulani and we did Paradise Cove. We did it for the location (close to Aulani and right on the beach), and the price. I bought an entertainment book before we left and it had a 25% off adult luau tickets coupon. We had four adults, so it was like getting one person in free...

We bought the entertainment book (it was on sale for like $17) before we went. It had a 25% off up to 4 adults for the Paradise cove or Germaine’s luaus. Save us over $100. We enjoyed Pardise Cove. Food was ok, but the activities and show were great. Plus it’s literally on the beach, so sunset...

So we decided on the Orchid (middle) package. I have the coupon from the Entertainment book, so we got a good discount. Still about half the price of the Aulani basic one!

We are currently booked at the Paradise cove luau with their basic package, but I’m debating upgrading. Anyone have experiences with the different “levels” there?

We bought (they’re actually free) tickets from the govt website. But we will have a rental car so that makes it easier.

It’s our family trip, with three generations, so havin someone meet us when we get off the *very long* flight sounded fun. If thenones at Aulani are fresh, maybe we’ll wait for them. But there’s something special about having someone meet you at the airport

Has anyone pre-ordered Leis at the airport? I see several different places that will meet you with leis in hand. Anyone know if it's worth it, or can we get them once we arrive?

Is there enough seating there for a couple of families to eat? We would bring a bag of charcoal and grab food at the grocery store
