Zero Enforcement of Dress Code @ Palo

Enforcement of the dress code for Palo has been a crap shoot for a while now. Seen people sent back for shoes and seen Jersey Shore extras allowed in.

    Placeholder logistics

The usual advice in this scenario is book the 2026 cruise as soon as it's available to get the best rate possible. Once you have the placeholder, price out the same cruise and see if it's cheaper. Then either keep the cheaper booking, whichever it is, or use the placeholder to get an even...

Dream - where to go to change dining?

It is normally at the French Quarter Lounge, between the atrium and Tiana's Place on Deck 3. But make sure to check the app to confirm as it can occasionally vary on any of the ships.

    Room change, dining the same?

This is a key element. They don't make dining assignments until fairly close to the actual cruise so as long as you make the change a month or more out, there is virtually no chance it will cause issues. Even closer, your stateroom shouldn't make any impact on where you sit to eat or when you...

    DisneyBand+ Options at 45 days

We only had the DCL designs for the Magic earlier this year. There were no discounts.

    Cell plan questions...

It depends on how the e-gift card is delivered. I know they normally have to open a link to a site for it or may have to 'phone home' in some other manner. She may be able to open it pre-cruise and take a screenshot of the details. If it's a barcode/QR code, the screenshot should still be...

Disney Dream Stateroom 8188 vs 5650

We only really felt it, and even then not much at all, when they were maneuvering in port.

Disney Dream Stateroom 8188 vs 5650

We sailed in 8188 on the Fantasy and loved it. Plenty of space (just 2 adults though). Convenient to pool decks, on-deck food, etc.. A little inconvenient to the forward parts of the ship but great exercise.

    Few more questions

If you are using Disney transfers, you won't have to select a PAT if I am remembering correctly.

    Easter Service onboard?

In the past (I don't know if it changed) DCL would arrange for clergy for the big holidays like Easter and Christmas. The exception was cruises that embarked/debarked on the holiday.

    Haven’t cruised since 2016; a few questions

Palo dinner is also no longer whatever you want, however much you want for the price. It is now Prix Fixe. Some options are included but others that used to be free options are now $$, such as the Dover Sole.

    Dining Together With Friends

If I recall correctly, you can have the reservations linked for dining only.

    Next Batch of Cruises

Unless DCL deviates from prior new ships, Treasure will take over Fantasy's 7nt sailings. Fantasy did a few shorter cruises post Covid and will move to more short cruises after the Treasure debuts.

    Sailing out of New Orkeans

We were on that cruise as well, it was messy enough that wife said no more NOLA cruises. We booked it in Oct of 23 and paid a lot less than I would have expected that close to the cruise. They were offering GTY rates forever on it.

Dress Shorts Now Acceptable for Palo Brunch

Guess they made it official. They've been allowing shorts for brunch for a while, at least at manager discretion, cause we've seen them multiple times. Mostly post-covid but some pre-covid. Our last cruise on the Magic in Feb, there was a young lady wearing shorts that were within a few mm of...

Lanyards / key holder changed since March 2023?

We were on the first cruise out of NOLA on Jan 31 and multiple platinum people in our FB group got the cooler bag instead of the tote. They were told it was due to being out of the totes. Not sure if they got resupplied or not.

    Etiquette in bars

In my humble opinion, it's perfectly acceptable not to order a drink when an activity is hosted in a bar. You are there for the activity, not the bar. If you're thirsty, order. If you're not, don't.

Policy change Oceaneer Club and Lab

It's a code word, like Code Blue in the hospital, etc.. so they aren't saying the actual issue which might freak out any guests who might overhear the call.

Policy change Oceaneer Club and Lab

There was a pin trading board on the cabin door of the stateroom next door to us on our last cruise. It was full when the cruise started. As the cruise went on, it got emptier and emptier. Is it possible that the occupants were pulling off pins they liked that were traded? I guess. Or it...
