Where were your favourite places to sleep growing up?

Across the street on buddy's back porch. We did it often in the summers from around 10 years old and on.

What do you have a lot of in your living room?

Computer simulation peripherals. I set up in front of the 55" TV. I have a steering wheel, pedals, shifter, keypad, flight yoke, rudder pedals, 2 piece joystick I use for throttle control flying. It's on a shelf and I have a small desk I set in front of the TV. TV is broken but still...

    Interest Rate and Credit Score

It's too political to respond to this. All I'll say is the numbers don't matter. It's the principle of things people in charge are doing that matters the most.

    Interest Rate and Credit Score

Bingo. It wouldn't be difficult for me to max out my credit cards and pay minimums for a short period of time. I spend $1500-2000/month on credit cards paying every bill that allows and all other spending. I pay it every payday with the previous paycheck that sat in the bank account for 2...

What is a phrase you see on the Dis boards all the time that you NEVER hear people actually say in real life?

This morning at work, piece of equipment wouldn't fire up. Maintenance looked at the panel, no power at the remote switch. Called the electrician. He opened the panel, looked, closed the panel and the equipment started. No one saw him turn a switch from auto to manual as it wasn't wired for...

That's because you wouldn't say that verbally. It's everywhere on internet discussion forums though.

Where do you put the clothes you have been wearing throughout the day when you go to bed?

Did that with toys. Mom could never wrangle the toys in that were left all over. I was home, told the kids once to come clean up the toys now. 3 hours later when they came out, they found all their toys in the garbage. They did get them back, but the next time I told them they needed to...

Where do you put the clothes you have been wearing throughout the day when you go to bed?

When I go to bed, I'm not wearing the clothes I wore all day any more. Once evening arrives, I change out of my work clothes into my home clothes which is drop the shorts and change into a shirt I wear only at home in the house. It gets tossed on the washing machine until tomorrow evening...

was the worst grade you got in school in your least favorite subject?

So long ago I can't possibly remember. I probably did, but I couldn't tell you if I'd ever had lower than a C. I do know I'd had lots of C's however, so it wouldn't be only the least favorite.

What is a phrase you see on the Dis boards all the time that you NEVER hear people actually say in real life?

The "Oppositional Defiance Disorder"? That's a new one to me, but it apparently is a real thing after looking it up.

    New Etiquette Question-Theatre Related

Similar to you all, except I would be the husband and wouldn't need my wife to place me in the other seat (if the others wouldn't switch if asked). I would already have changed with mother-in-law and let wife and MIL sit next to each other. I would ask the other party politely though.

United Airlines popcorn controversy: What sayeth the Dis?

This because you can just replace "customers" with "flight attendants" and the statement is also true. "With all the BS airlines are putting flight attendants/employees through these days ... customer can clean up a few popcorn pieces when they are pigs.

Do you sleep with the door closed or open?

By myself so open. Outside door is right there so if anyone would attempt to break in, I want to have as early notification as possible (though I doubt I'd hear anything.)

United Airlines popcorn controversy: What sayeth the Dis?

Yeah, but they were treated very well by their husbands. Any husband was always willing to grab them by the hair and drag them anywhere they wanted to go :rotfl2:

How noisy are your nextdoor neighbours?

We're packed in like sardines being a mobile park. Hardly ever see them. We wave when passing by in the car and anyone is out. Behind me both are deaf, and elderly. I graduated with their daughter. Never met her and really have only seen her a handful of times. He comes knocking on my...

Have your parents always liked your choice in men/women?

My mother hated my wife with a passion. My mother has an extremely evil personality. She hasn't seen her grandkids since my oldests 4th birthday because she got lost driving over and "I'm sick of cell phones. No one needs a $&** cell phone" so we couldn't contact her to find out where she was...

Have your parents always liked your choice in career?

Never got to have an adult relationship with Dad. Mom has no idea what I do for a living. She is always saying, "I thought you worked in an office." I'm the grunt worker of research and development of plastics manufacturing. Means I'm one of the experts in the process of our equipment and...

What is a phrase you see on the Dis boards all the time that you NEVER hear people actually say in real life?

Or is it: "...and a coke." "What kind?" "Coke." "again, what kind of coke?" At least when my brother and I was 6 at the beach and we asked if we could have a sucker, they asked what a sucker was which mom or dad said, a lolipop, they then said, "Oh, that makes sense. Y'all from Pittsburgh...

What is a phrase you see on the Dis boards all the time that you NEVER hear people actually say in real life?

I don't understand how you order an actual Coke in the south. Always been "pop" for me. Every vacation no matter where, everyone knows I'm originally from Pittsburgh (dahn 'er in Pixburgh, da home of da Pixburgh Stillers)
