South Carolina has the best BBQ. Depending on the part of the state you can get vinegar base, mustard base or tomato based sauce. We are pork BBQ here btw. None of that silly beef stuff they do in Texas or weird dry rub from Memphis. I'm looking at you, you know who you are :).

We go to the spring on our non park day to have silhouettes of the kids made. Don't want to have it done when in the park. Amazing seeing the changes as they age.

cruisin5 stay as many days as you can find availability! Our home resort is AKL so we have to book at 7 months. We usually get three days tops. We got 4 this year! Looking at getting a resale we love HH Disney. Should have bought 4 years ago when it was 50 bucks a point.

If you book any DVC resort as a non DVC member you pay rack rate plus taxes. DVC members get 25% off rack rate and do not have to pay taxes, as they are owners.

We took the boat from MK. Got there a little early and walked over to check out the ponies and the stables. Playground near by if ya have some little ones.

Just a little FYI Disney Vacation Club has a place in Hilton Head SC. You can see if they have cash rooms available. Great beach house, great beach. Lot's of fun there.

Be careful using a fresh water rig. The salt water will ruin it if you don't rinse it off with fresh water.

Pretty sure the DVC discount at Guisseppi's is dine in only. They get pretty busy in the summer you will want to order way ahead of when you want to eat. They don't deliver and aren't close but we have to go to the Crazy Crab at least once on each visit. Sitting on the deck watching the sun...

If they refuse you a discount. Smile and say, "You didn't need a tip anyway." Watch how fast that discount shows up. :rolleyes1

Our kids are now at the Harry Potter age. We found it quite easy to rent a low cost off site hotel at Universal for a couple days. Followed by a stay at AKL. Best of both worlds. We stayed at the Double Tree at Universal it is with in walking distance. No where as nice as one bedroom at...

You might have better odds booking cash and selling your points.

Thanks for the replies, all. The wife and I are looking at adding on at HH and didn't want to get caught in a special assessment from before we got the points. (we stay there all the time and want to be able to get in during the summer)

Does anyone have an idea if there will be a special assessment at HH? If so when do they announce these types of things? Thanks for your replies.
