    Magic Band shipping

We ordered our magic bands June 6th. A label was created with a tracking number, but they have not shipped yet. Is this pretty typical? I called customer service and they said they can't do anything about it and to wait until closer to our trip and they'll just send replacements to our resort...

    Princess Weekend 2020

Registered for the Fairy Tale challenge and the 5k! Nervous as all get out, but equally excited! Tried my first ever half this past January and got swept by the balloon ladies, so I’m coming back with a vengeance in February!

    Thank you.

    Medal release

Is there a designated date for the medal release for the 2019 marathon weekend? Or is it just a random surprise? I feel like seeing the medal would be great motivation.

Why no Steam Train Tour in November 2018?

I was wondering this same thing about January. I don’t know if it’s just too far out for the schedule or if there really isn’t availability. I saw that several of the railroad stations are closed throughout 2019, but assumed the train would still be running through the front entrance depot, and...

    Marathon Weekend 2019

I registered three people and on the checkout, it only has a registration fee for one person, and the other two say zero. Any suggestions?

    Mendenhall glacier return transportation

We take the city bus. It picks up about a half mile away and is a couple bucks. There should be plenty of shuttles and buses. That place is pretty popular.

I want to walk on a glacier.

I was just going to suggest this! I live in Skagway and this is one of our favorite hikes. We do it several times a summer. The views are amazing. It’s not exactly a walk in the park, but I don’t consider it a strenuous hike, and you can walk on a glacier. I usually walk in flip flops for the...

    2 excursions in skagway

The character exclusive in Liarsville is fun for young kids, but it quite cheesy for 10+ and adults. It goes from 9-11am, which gives you plenty of time to make the 12:45 afternoon train departure. Or if you’re doing an afternoon bus/train with Chilkoot Charters, they meet you on the pier at...

Whats up with the Delays for Marathon Weekend??

If they are separating themselves from Active, this can’t have been a spur of the moment decision for Disney. I’m just surprised they didn’t plan accordingly to debut their new system for marathon weekend registration without having to issue a delay. Doesn’t seem well planned out.

    Skagway help!

Oh good! You’ll love that tour. And even if you don’t opt for the sledding experience at Caribou Crossing, you can still go see the dogs and puppies. And they have a fantastic lunch there. Have a fun time!

    Skagway help!

This is the three-hour ride to the White Pass Summit. It’s the same Railroad as in all the other excursions. There is only one railroad in Skagway. However, there are multiple trains. The green and yellow are the engines. The train cars are brown with red roofs. I just want to point out (so...

    Alaska in May

Hi! May is typically quite nice. Most of Southeast Alaska is in a temperate rainforest, so May can be drizzly. But certainly not freezing. Dress in layers, bring a light jacket and you should be fine. I live in Skagway and looked back to photos from May of this year and it was beautiful. I tried...

    The train in Skagway questions

The steam train is never chartered out by just one cruise line. That was a miscommunication with whoever you were speaking with. There would have been exclusive cars on the steam train reserved just for DCL, but there are also other cars reserved for passengers off other ships, as well as...

    The train in Skagway questions

There is more than one train and Disney has not booked the entire day. You can contact a third party and book a train and bus combination outside of your cruise line. Chilkoot Charters and Frontier Excursions both offer a full-day Yukon tour that incorporates many of the OP’s interests - train...

    Running Shoes

YES. I have RA, and my knees have always been my problem spots for flare-ups. My doctor suggested Hokas and they have been life changing. Can’t sing enough praises to my Cliftons.
