If you've got multiple days there, I'd definitely recommend RDing the Fantasyland rides at DL at least once. Those are slow loaders with boring queues, and my family has easily knocked out almost all of them (besides Peter Pan and Storybook Canal) in an hour. At DL, I'd also recommend Guardians...

I was told most places will allow up to one extra person (for us it was a party of 4 and the server mishearing me thinking I'd said we were a party of 5 when I was saying we had a reservation at 5).

We were there the past week and Disneyland was regularly doing rope drop around 8:30. Yesterday it was more like 8:05! We got in 5 rides before the park was even "officially" open.
