My wife was blasphemous on our last trip...

i feel like I am getting "too old" for RD, commando-style touring that lasts all day into the night. My hubby exhausts me sometimes (he does try to adjust to me if I'm tired but then i feel bad bc I need an hour in AC and I know he could go strong for another 4 hours). My solo trips spoiled me...

    Getting married REALLY early

Now hubby with engaged after a couple months and married within about a year the first time around. Suffice to say, it did not last.

    Would you get an AP?

If you are a souvenir family, get the AP if you don't already have a Disney Visa-the Merchandise discount will be a good perk. It adds up quickly. If there is any chance you might try to sneak in a short trip besides your planned ones, get the AP. We do not find a lot of value in the dining...

Spin-Off of Funeral Thread: Why or Why Not?

Neither my husband and I was religious, so his funeral mass was for the comfort of his siblings and my step-daughter. And sort of service like that just makes me uncomfortable from a combination of by being an atheist and memories of his service.

Spin-Off of Funeral Thread: Why or Why Not?

After my first husband died and i was overwhelmed by the support I received, I try to be better about going to calling hours and funerals, but I'm still extremely uncomfortable, especially at very religious funerals. Everything brings up a lot of memories.

September Crowds - Adults vs Families

That's when we went last year and are going back this year. Fewer families with school-age kids, more families with littler kids. Crowds good early but parks were busy after lunch. Surface of the sun/sauna hot most days. Avoid Epcot F&W on Friday and weekends as there tends to be more...

Just how bad are the crowds for HEA?

I will wholeheartedly say I did not feel safe, and we found it significantly more crowded than nights we had seen Wishes. Being shoulder to shoulder with hundreds, thousands, of other people, while constantly being pushed forward by CMs to "make room" was uncomfortable, unpleasant, and...

Has anyone felt motion sickness from Flight of Passage

I got queasy enough that I won't do it again.

Do you, as a couple, have any 'traditions'?

We always try to kiss in elevators. We were long distance the first 14 or so months of our relationship so the first time we'd often see each other was meeting in a hotel lobby. We'd always kiss in the elevator. Note: quick peck, not tonsil hockey

What are you looking forward to most on your next trip?

Slowing down and relaxing evenings. Our last two trips were long weekends so they were definitely not relaxing (besides 'not at work' relaxing), and our Honeymoon trip last year had a lot of evening plans. This fall, we're staying on DVC points at Saratoga and relaxing to enjoy the end of our AP.

Anyone purchase a Sunpass for a rental car?

We have a Sunpass. It was super convenient when Dollar charged us for a toll they claimed we didn't pay, and my husband just pulled up the Sunpass record and sent it to them. I'd hate to think we could have been trying to track down a toll receipt 6 weeks after our trip. There are several...

Choosing to be Child Free. What are your reasons/changed minds?

My standard line used to be "I'm mature enough to know I'm too immature to have kids". Immature not in a reckless, obnoxious way, but...I like my time, I like my quiet, I like my money, I like my freedom. Having kids depending on you forces you to give up a lot of that. Having cervical cancer...

Disney to charge for resort parking for reservations made March 21,2018 and after

I am not at all happy with this, but I'm really irked for anyone who drives rather than flies. We could, in theory, fly in and MDE and bus it to avoid the fee. But flying it not practical for a lot of people, so if they drive, they are stuck with this penalty. I'd rather see it as something...

dealing with family that won't stop gifting...

I have stressed to my mom and son that we don't want "stuff". We have more "stuff" that we need and we are trying to get rid of as much as we can. We want memories-outings, dinner, tickets, activities. We have combined households (and much of my household came from my in-laws from my first...

Are Vera Bradley and Disney phasing out their collection?

on my December trip, I picked up a couple items at the DS VB store. I'm really hoping for a new pattern soon, even if i hate it-at least that means the relationship is continuing a little longer. I don't care for the Dooney stuff, mainly because of the price point, but some of the other stuff...

    Questions for Human Resource Manager

I trust you are doing this with the utmost discretion. It seems possible that the connections you or your employees may have could be ones whose knowledge that an employee is looking to leave would be extremely detrimental. I chose my references because partly they were exceptionally discreet...

When were you left underwhelmed by something at Disney?

Rivers of Light and Happily Ever After, our past two trips. RoL was nice to look at, but not at all worth the wait for the show. It WAS cold that night, so i may give it another shot in warmer weather. We thought HEA was only OK. We were huge Wishes fans, and just don't get the same...

    Shipping souvenirs home?

We try to make fewer large shopping stops when practical (World of Disney, MouseGear) and have our purchases shipped straight home. If they break it, they will replace it (quickly, efficiently, no arguments-we have had ornaments break); if you bring it home and it breaks, you are SOL...

TSA Pre-Check - Worth Considering for Trip This Summer ?

We got PreCheck more for MCO than our home airport. In October, out PreCheck line was probably 15 minutes versus probably about 45 minutes to an hour for regular security.

Is Carousel of Progress a thing of the past?

I would keep the original 3 scenes, they are what makes the show so great. I would update the final scene, and make the commitment to update it every 5 or so years. Technology changes so quickly.
