Any difference in crowds May 23-29 or May 28-June 5, 2020?

May 23-29 is over Memorial Day weekend so I think it could be more crowded that weekend over May 28-June 5.

    Decorations at WDW

It looks like MK is closing early on 11/4 so I suspect they will do a lot of it that night, but may be some signs before that. I had been hoping it would be staying open late on 11/4 like it did last year but isn’t so maybe they will do some then too

    Adult Only Trip

We are going down without kids soon - F&W will still be going on so we are going to take advantage of it. We are rope-dropping AK to try to get on FoP, and I will RD MK while he sleeps in. But other than that we have very few plans. Yes, we have some FP (couldn't get the top ones because we...

Planning to Avoid Fall Race Dates in 2019

All I can say in that in 2013, when Veteran's Day was on a Monday (like it will be on 2019), the races were that weekend (opposed to the weekend before right after Halloween). Can't guarantee that will be the same next year, but a good gauge.

How do I make DH understand it's not weird to visit Disney/Universal without the kids?

Sorry you haven't convinced your DH to go down to Orlando without the kids. We are going down towards the end of F&W without our lovely cherubs. We are from the Northeast too and taking the very earliest flight so will be in Orlando by 9. I didn't grow up going to Disney - went once when I was...

3 Night vs 4 Night Bahamas Cruise.. 1000 savings for WDW?

After having done a 7 night cruise and then a 3 night (or a 4 night, I can't remember), I swore I never would do a short cruise again. But also the boats were very different - this was RC 13 years ago, and the 7 night was a huge boat and the short one, a small old boat. Now we will be taking on...

My thoughts on a 3 night sailing

Prior to our 7-day Fantasy Star Wars Day at Sea last year, my husband and I had done 2 RC cruises, a 7 day and a 3 day. I swore I would never do another 3 day, but I also knew that part of my dislike was that the 3 day was on a small, worn out ship when our 7 day had been on a brand spanking...

Will you skip hollywood studios on your next trip?

We arrive in Orlando at 1 pm on Thursday and doing our partial day at HS - not sure if i would do it for a full day. But then again we are going on a Star Wars cruise so we want to check out Launch Bay and the SW show. RnR is one of my favorite rides, so I will always want to ride that.

A typical day at Disney's Hollywood Studios

We will be down there for 1 1/2 days next spring and people think we are crazy to spend our 1/2 day at HS - But we love Star Tours, Toy Story, ToT and RnR. We probably won't stay for Fantasmic, which I am sad about because I haven't seen it in 15 years, but we have an early, full day the next...

Disney World Before or After Cruise

I love vacation, but at the end I am usually ready to be back in my own bed. I can't imagine getting off the boat with a week's worth of dirty laundry and then heading to the Parks. We are doing a quick park trip - just 2 nights/1 1/2 park days before a 7-day cruise.

    EPCOT - with a 4 year old...and 21 mo old

We went when DD was 4y4m and DS was 21 months old - we did breakfast with the Princesses which both kids loved and DD was fairly tired from MK the day before so she slept most of the way through the World Showcase while DS got to see a lot of the characters and he had a ball! There was a time...

Star Wars on the FANTASY - who is in?

We are looking to book the April 16th. I can't wait! I've been dreaming of a cruise for a while and dreaming of when we could get back to WDW since we came back in November, so the best of both - only 14 months to go!

    Rest day?

Our previous trips have only been 2-3 park day trips, with zero down time (my kids have yet to swim in a Disney pool!). This trip, which is our "big" trip, I knew i wanted 6 park days (2 MK, 2 EP, 1 AK, 1HS) and a rest day. I originally booked 8 park days thinking maybe we'd want to pop into...

    Is this correct?

Is child swap only available if the child doesn't meet the height requirements? DS (5) is 45" but I am not sure if I want to bring him on Expedition Everest and Space Mountain - he technically can go on it but probably would be too afraid to enjoy it.

    BOG Lunch Fast Pass Dates....

I wish I knew too. Mine has never allowed me to book dates beyond Nov 6 when our trip goes until the 9th.

Are there really no BOG FPs left for November?

2 weeks after getting my email, I still can't see dates beyond Nov 6 :( So annoyed.

Quick! FP + for BOG is open for November!

So annoying - I was hoping to get a BOG FP on 11/8 but when I log in I still can only see through 11/6!

How would you break up 2 days in Epcot?

This is what we are planning on in a couple of weeks (kids are 8 and 5) Day 1: Arrive late morning - Soarin FP, couple other rides, then head into WS for the afternoon. Lunch will be snacks along the way as we will have had a late breakfast at the hotel. Dinner at Chefs and Illuminations...

Not doing MK on first day.

Our first trip (3 park days when kids were 4 and 21 months), we only did MK (2 days) and EP (mainly for Breakfast with the Princesses). 2nd trip we only did MK 1 day. This upcoming trip is our "big" trip - 8 days, 6 park days. We aren't going to MK until the 3rd park day - We have friends...
