Songs that mention a fabric of some kind etc.

How about "Corduroy" by Pearl Jam? Type of fabric is in the title, but the lyrics only mention clothes in general. I don't want to hear from those who know They can buy but can't put on my clothes I don't want to limp for them to walk Never would have known of me before I don't want to be held...

What is your last work day of the year?

I will probably work half a day on the 21st and return to work on January 2nd. However, I am considering adding a day off on the 2nd to change things up a bit. Maybe going back on the 3rd will somehow seem less depressing?

It was probably also the last time you flew Continental because I believe the merger with United was in 2010.

    S/O carry on etiquette

This is dependent on the aircraft type and the configuration of the overhead bins. When they bins are made for bags to fit on their sides, it is definitely a better use of space. But not all overhead bins are created equal.

First Seabourn cruise TR where inflatable kiddie pools, Cerberus heatwave &"would you like some sparkling with your apple juice" happened ;)

Venice has always been a tourist destination. However, it was not nearly as cruise ship dependent and that to me has really changed the amount of people that visit. It is just much more crowded now. I think the best way to really experience Venice is to stay somewhere either on Venice itself...

First Seabourn cruise TR where inflatable kiddie pools, Cerberus heatwave &"would you like some sparkling with your apple juice" happened ;)

I love Venice! My mom was born less than an hour from there and there I have been there many times since I first went to Italy in 1979. Even now, when we spend an overnight, we usually stay on Murano, as it is a bit off the beaten path.' Love seeing the pictures.

Gel Manicure - how long does it last for you?

Gel manicures generally last 2.5 - 3weeks, but by then my nails have started to grow out so it doesn't look great. I used to get gel manicures regularly, but over time they really did weaken my natural nails (which are really pretty strong on their own). At the beginning of COVID, I grew them...

    Italy

I often post about Italy as we generally go at least twice a year. My mom was born there as a matter of fact. We generally rent a car from Hertz and have never been asked to SHOW the international driver's license. However, it is supposedely a requirement in Italy and we have been asked to...

    Easter dinner suggestions

For some reason, I always make Key Lime pie for Easter dessert - or at least as one of the options. It is one of my favorite pies and for some reason it reminds me of spring.

    Airfare to Europe Yikes!

We fly to Europe (Italy 90% of the time) 2-3 times and year and airfares right now for even late spring and summer are running higher than in recent memory (even pre COVID). Unforunately, for now, it seems like it is what it is. Also flights and seats fill up so booking something you can live...

Verizon , looking at new plans.

We also dropped Verizon last July after having been on them since the beginning (both when we were single too). We had always maintained separate plans, as it was just easier that way for work reimbursement. But we needed new phones, my husband is retired and well over 55 and we switched to T...

You're in a grocery store, the person Infront is 5 dollars short , do you offer to pay the 5 dollars?

For $5, most definitely. Not to mention just for the ease of proceeding through the line! Time is money. I wouldn't want to be behind them trying to take this off the order, put things back and all of that either. For $5 I don't particularly care what they are buying either.

    New Orleans

One interesting thing I did in New Orleans was visit Old Absinthe House on Bourbon Street. I was very interested in trying Absinthe and I love the taste of black licorice. Anyway, it is a very interesting bar and different from other things on Bourbon Street for sure.

First year with unlimited time off nearly complete

I honestly feel the unlimited in a bit of a misnomer. It really does not mean take off all the time you want, no questions asked. There are still approvals if you intend to take a long block of time off, like more than two weeks. There are also "busy seasons" and deadlines during which you...
