How do you know if wisdom teeth really need to be removed

I still have mine at 43. They are impacted but aren't bothering me. My older 2 have had them removed. Not only does "everyone" get them removed now, but everyone also gets braces if their teeth aren't 100% perfect, and the cost of THOSE was enough to not let the wisdom teeth be the reason the...

    Disney aspire program.

Yes, that's an IRS law. Disney claims they gross up the benefit and pay the taxes for you too, but she just started the program in Jan 2020 so I'm curious to see how that all shakes out too. She's in grad school, so I KNOW her benefit will be above the IRS limit. Disney does pay everything up...

    Disney aspire program.

No, my DD works for Disney and lives in FL but hadn't gone through the process of changing any ID when she started Aspire. They pay EVERYTHING. It's a great benefit.

Sweet Tomatoes and Souplantation permanently closing down

We loved this place and don't have one locally so only got to have it at Disney. So sad. :(

    Stimulus check question-2019 college grad

Slightly different situation, but DD graduated August 2018 and we claimed her as a dependent that year. We have not filed our 2019 taxes. She has, and has indicated she is not a dependent. She received her $1,200 (pending) today.

How good/bad a job has your state done at flattening the curve?

Our governor is great (Maryland), but I don't need a recap of everything from Day 1, each and every day. Start with whatever new rules you are implementing, and then you can talk for an hour after I drop off.

    Parents of teens with jobs...

You don't say what the kids job is. I think that matters. Especially if it's a grocery store.

The we loooooove Club Wyndham Bonnet Creek Part 4

Checking in Thursday and still haven't booked my stroller rental- What is the situation like at WBC? Will it be at or near the check in desk if I have it delivered there?

Parents of the High School Class of 2017/College 2021

I am lucky that DS 20 is my kid that has always rolled with the punches. Freshman move in day, my FIL passed away and he had to come back and miss the first few days of class. No hiccups last year, but this year my grandmother passed away and the funeral was his move in day. He and DH had...

Billionaire to pay off $40 Million college debt for Morehouse College class of 2019

I found this article interesting regarding the taxes: https://www.forbes.com/sites/kellyphillipserb/2019/05/19/billionaire-robert-f-smith-promises-to-pay-off-student-debt-worth-millions/#3d13b47c59f5 "The recipient of a gift isn't subject to federal income tax on a gift. And if any gift tax is...

What is the smallest transaction amount you have charged to a credit/debit card?

Since they stopped charging fees for debit a decade or so ago, I use it the same way. And I also put a .59 cent drink at Costco on my card just yesterday. :)

Please settle an argument....Do most families

I think we are pretty middle of the road. I actually like most leftovers and will eat them. But I still feel like we waste too much food. And I never freeze leftovers. It stays in the fridge a couple days and then gets eaten or thrown out. And I won't do something like pick a rotisserie chicken...

Where have you have Thanksgiving dinner outside of a home setting?

We did Whispering Canyon Cafe one year. It wasn't the greatest. Definitely doesn't compare to homemade. But it sure was easier!

Disclosing cause of death on social media.

I'm going to respond before reading the rest of the thread, but I agree with you. I've noticed if it's a long illness, an unknown health issue, or an accident though, they will say so. Being intentionally evasive means drugs or suicide. If you don't want people to assume that, don't be...

How much $$ would you give as wedding gift?

I would agree with you. DH and I have been married since practically high school and there were times as a young family we gave $50 and that was really all we had to give. Now we are 40 and wouldn't think of giving under $100. I've also never seen a "cake and punch" wedding. Every wedding I've...

Best Thing you have done that was an Extra Cost Experiences like Dessert Parties, etc.

DH and I just went for the first time without kids this past weekend. We did DAH and rode just about everything in the MK in those 3 hours. The next day we did Wild Africa Trek which was an amazing experience. We also stayed club level at AKL which is an experience very different from staying at...

Curious about "room ready" when split staying.

It actually has seemed to work for us twice this summer with split stays, but I don't know if that's coincidence or what. Both times the rooms were ready and we got the notification as we were driving into the new resort.

We have a neighbor or someone putting their trash in other families trash bins. Dealing with it.

I live in Maryland where it's just as you described and these threads also fascinate me.

Your thoughts on this hotel reservation situation?

If that's true, it didn't work for me at All Star Movies. I went down every night to ask if we could stay one more night, and was told no (because they were booked) every time. They didn't even find me something else on property. Luckily the morning of check out, POP became available and I...

At what age is it no longer appropriate for kids to be pantless when company is over?

I have to admit I clicked on this because it's 13 pages....but I didn't read past the first. I'm with the sister - who the hell cares if the kid is wearing proper pants in his house. And I think the term "company" is being used loosely here when we are talking about family, especially one that...
