Day 5
Ok, a year later and I am ready to start the next post for this trip. Yikes! I won't lie, I was prompted to do so because we are going back in late February and I realized I hadn't completed my TR for this trip. The 2nd day in Disneyland was similar to the first. We rode rides...
Hi Everyone, I hope it is ok for me to post this question here. Mods, if there is a better place for me to post it feel free to move it or let me know! :-)
I have used Photobucket in the past to upload my photos onto my TR here on Disboards. I found that site to be very tedious so I was...
Day 4
OUR FIRST DISNEY DAY! Unlike previous trips, I didn't really have a plan. We had WOC Dessert Package reservations for that night, but other than that we just wandered around and did things on a whim.
We started the day at DLR and after riding a few rides, we decided to poke around Toon...
Day 3
This was our USS Iowa day. It was a really neat self-guided tour and I would recommended it to others, especially if you have history or military buffs in your group.
We woke up and got ready in our much more functional room. We picked up my aunt and uncle and drove off to Long Beach to...
Day 2
Our first full day in SoCal started with us sampling the Desert Palms Hotel and Suites breakfast for the first time. It was not very good and we did not eat there again. After that, we changed rooms and went to pick up the rental car. It was SUPER convenient to have the car rental right...
We're back! As with my other TR, I will try to give some helpful things I learned and include plenty of pictures. :-)
Highlights/Main Thoughts
NEVER USE PRIME TIME SHUTTLE. EVER. This was the worst shuttle experience I have ever had with the worst customer service I have ever encountered...
I'm so glad it worked out for your family! We will be viewing it on a weekday so perhaps we should try it. :-)
I like the reserved seating options when there is indeed a seat and an unobstructed view. But I agree with you, for this it might just be better to stake out a spot.
If we could...
I was worried about that. I did the Fantasmic Dessert Package when it was available and I've done the WOC Dessert Package and I really enjoyed both of those because it was a calm, uncrowded experience with wonderful service which made it well worth the money. Not to mention the ability to sit in...
I am debating on whether or not to do the MSEP Dining Package at Aladdin's Oasis that provides reserved viewing area and an "on-the-go" type meal earlier in the day. I can't find any information online about where the reserved area is and whether it is worth it. Has anyone had this dining...
I totally understand that! My no-go time is the last half of December near the holidays and New Years Eve. I have been in the parks on NYE, new years day, and right around Christmas and the intensity of the crowds was a bit too much for me. I am glad I went and experienced that once in my...
Thank you! The Mickey & Minnie cake topper was part of DH proposal so it was great to have it on the day of our wedding as well. Plus, what better photo to use than the one with Disney in it! :-)
Disneyland can vary so much at different times of the year. It really is about finding the time of...
I was worried about the crowds at Wizarding World of Harry Potter but I think it might be worth it. The photos I've seen of that area are amazing! If we go, I will have to buy a wand and robe there!:wizard:
That sounds like such a fun trip! I love having extended time in the parks because it feels less rushed. So, I always advocate for more days whenever possible. Have a terrific time! :-)

What a terrific backyard to have! We were all so surprised by the intense heat but we didn't let it ruin the fun of the park. We had great time!
I highly recommend it! It was such an amazing experience and our guides were WONDERFUL!
I really appreciated having somewhere to sit. At that point...
We just got back from a 5 day trip to SoCal that included 2 days at the San Diego Safari Park and 2 days at DLR/DCA. It was an amazing trip.
SAFARI PARK - brief recap
We celebrated my uncle's 60th birthday at the park. My aunt rented out all of the premium tents next to the elephant enclosure...
Thank you! I got the shirt at Ross for $8! I actually got both that and the red Mickey shirt on the same trip to Ross and both were under $10 so I was pretty excited about that. :teeth:
Yeah, I was pretty happy with most of the photos and photographers at the photo spots, and having...
If Fantasy Land isn't a high priority for your DD then I would definitely skip the MM and do the early entry at DCA. We did MM for the first time this last trip and I can honestly say it was anything but magical. We arrived 1 hour and 15 minutes early as instructed, spent 5 minutes in the...
I'm back! The trip was interesting for personal reasons, but Disneyland was as amazing as ever! I figure rather than giving a blow-by-blow of the trip, it would be better to list out some important/interesting info and then just upload photos. So here it goes...
Interesting Info
There was an...
