    Your Touring Style

Wake up whenever we wake up...usually had for the parks 9-10 depending on how late previous night was...get some breakfast at Starbucks or other quick serve...pick a park then bounce around but try and set up a flow but totally flexible based on conditions...grab and go or light quick serve...

    Bagless security check

The generally have nixed the "No Bag" lines unless they are backed up and trying to push people through as too many people don't comprehend what "no bags" means..."oh, that is my purse/fanny pack/cooler...not a bag..." Wish I was kidding...

    Restaurants

I REALLY wanna like Carthay Circle but almost every time we leave horridly disappointed in the meal...I love not bland food but it is like they try TOO hard with the flavors and there is always something just overpowering the whole dish no matter what it is.

    Rats or vermin in parks?

There is a reason the cats are are a thing...

    A handful of questions...

On the reserved viewing...fireworks for sure IMO...got to do it on a VIP tour and there is something amazing about getting to sit on the benches in the hub right in front of the castle. WOC and F! are also incredible having a reserved area but the Fireworks viewing felt a tad more...

    Early arrival and luggage

Also recommend going to bell services desk to retrieve luggage once you have your room...they are NOTORIOUSLY slow on delivering to the room once you call. Had quite a few times that was 45 min to 1 hour!

    DIsneylandForward project passes major hurdle

I am willing to bet $1 that the first things to happen are a new hotel and the Eastern parking garage and transportation center...they have been chomping at the bit for years on both but have been battling previous more hostile City Council makeups...if this passes the next vote they have the...

    DIsneylandForward project passes major hurdle

Disney did later address that in the meeting and stated a pedestrian path from S. Walnut would be maintained...resident's concerns aside there are quite a few hotels back there they would be stupid to cut off walking access even if Magic Way was closed.

    DIsneylandForward project passes major hurdle

Note this is just zoning change approval of the Resort District for the project to move froward...not approval of construction of the project...but the zoning change of the Resort District will allow for much more expedited and streamlined approvals of construction and less red tape when it...

Courtyard Theme Park Entrance vs. DLH Villa

My response walking out is to scream back "If a churro is a sin then I am taking the Monorail straight to H#!!!"...usually good for a few laughs...

    Whats the best character breakfast?

Of the three I have all been to several times: Plaza Inn: Bland cafeteria food but good characters and interaction Goofy's Kitchen: Great food selection but all the food to me is alway "meh" and pretty bland. Characters seem to whisk by with minimal interaction. Storytellers: By far best food...

Courtyard Theme Park Entrance vs. DLH Villa

So if budget allows there is tremendous value to saying on site IMO as the "Disney Bubble" is a real thing and just enhances the overall vacation experience...at least for me. Now the Courtyard is the nicest Harbor property IMO...so it all comes down to priorities. My recommendation when this...

    Dining reservations for 9?

They used to but that has changed...we used that hack all the time to call direct for larger parties but now they just push you to book through Disney...but once you book split reservations you can call direct and have them combine well ahead of time...that is what we had to do for last...

    Dining reservations for 9?

Yup...it is obnoxious but 2 different reservations at the same time on different accounts then we typically stop by the check in earlier in the day asking to combine...only time that was an issue is when we sprung that on them at arrival and they gave us 2 tables near by but could not pull...

    Fantasmic viewing on VIP tour?

With a VIP Tour they can book ya a nighttime spectacular reserved viewing seating faces on availability and it can be after your tour ends. F! is actual chairs that are in the middle of the viewing area and just left of center and the tier behind the Blue Bayou section, WOC is the benches in the...

    Parade viewing spots?

You can't really "see" the parade other than floats passing by over the standing patron's heads but it is for sure a cool vibe dining outside with the music and parade going by.

    Hotel Choice

Note that is a Holiday Inn not a Holiday Inn Express on S. Walnut...predictably mediocre but decent...is one of our regular go to stays when we just need a bed and shower but I much prefer the Fairfield on Harbor which is a lot closer walk. Only walking access is via Magic Way then the...

    Opinions on "line cutting"?

The kiddo bathroom emergency or someone catching up to the gate entrance line with coffee for the group is one thing but if your party is not together when you enter the attraction line...tough cookies...you are separated. I have politely and calmly physically blocked people blatantly trying...

Walnut & Magic Way to Esplanade - Options?

Was typically 12-15 min but my party is typically a group of able bodied adults that move at a pretty brisk pace.
