Senior travel insurance - pre existing conditions

WE have been with M & S, AllClear and this year Insure and Go. DH has a stent fitted and other pre-existing conditions. We paid just under £100 for annual travel ins. for both of us this year. DH is just over 60 years old. We found that the first 2 companies would insure us for the first year...

Just to confirm we did have a balcony which was very useful when DH had a longer rest than I needed and for people watching first thing in the morning. One morning I walked over to the Boardwalk bakery for breakfast for us. Do have some photos which will download asap. We also used the buses...

We have just returned from a 6 night stay at the Swan and loved it. We had a limited room booked with the teacher discount but asked at check in how much an upgrade would be as we were celebrating our 22nd Wedding Anniversary and had not spent as much as we had budgeted for on our 11 night...

    How are British visitors viewed?

We got reminded in a not very subtle way in a hotel in Clearwater at breakfast about leaving a tip by the waitress asking over and over again if we had enjoyed our meal and had she brought everything we needed:) She was obviously used to having to remind us Brits about the tip. Talking of...

    ECV help please!

He won't regret and you won't regret that he does hire an ECV. We have used Randy's mobility and will be again next month. Your mother may like to have a turn now and again if she feels confident enough.

DH will be using an ECV and we are staying at the Swan. Will we be able to walk/ride to EPCOT and MGM easily. Last time we drove to the parks and used the disabled parking. As we only had a smallish hire car this meant lots of assembling/dis-assembling the ECV. We did get very quick at it though...

Just Back from the Swan, Review May 24-29, 2007

Hi, Thank you for your reply. We did have an accessible room at the POP booked before we discovered the rate for teachers at the Swan. This had a king bed. DH can manage the bath ok so we are not too bothered about the accessibility of the bathroom facilities but was just a bit concerned...

Hints for Someone Who's Disabled ...

Hi My DH has the same condition which he also has had about 2 years now. We hired an ECV for our last trip back in Dec/Jan 06 and found it a real help. DH now has one at home as he was so impressed by the freedom and help it gave him. We hired then and for our next trip next month from...

    Accessible rooms at the Swan

Hi Cheshire Figment, Thank you for your reply, I hope you don't mind me asking a few other questions of you? Did you book a room especially to accommodate the ECV or did you have a standard room with no provision and found it ok? Did you use the disabled parking and/or the refridgerator and...

    Accessible rooms at the Swan

Does any-one have any information about accessible rooms for the Swan? We need one to accommodate the ECV and be easier to move around in but do not need a roll-in shower etc so wondered what sort of room we might have?
