Is Ohana really that bad now?

We are going back in April mainly for Flower & Garden Festival, just made our dining ressies and O'hana was first on my list. We have been going there for many years and have always enjoyed our complete experience. Have heard of people feeling rushed - we have never felt that, and have always...

Is the heat of September worth the smaller crowds?

Deep south Louisiana here, so I know what heat and humidity are. Summer heat, high humidity, daily thunderstorms, threat of hurricanes, nope, no way, no how. We go in April and even at that the heat and humidity and daily showers can be a factor. It just revs up through October usually - or...

So, locals...is there any point in even trying to predict the weather at WDW 1st week of March?

I second this. I live in NC and have noticed on EL Nino years that our weather is usually unpredictably wilder, wetter and colder than usual and has reached to the deep south states as well, including FL. So, IMO, I would not count on March being a "normal" average year. Could be - or not - best...

    where were you 9-11-01

I was shopping at a local grocery store when a fellow shopper came up to me and asked if I'd heard about the terrible tragedy, then quickly informed me. I immediately checked out and left to find out more. So surreal and shocking. Still, after all these years, can't fully take in the...

Live Action Snow White - too far a departure from the original?

As with much of what Disney does these days - just plain sick. It's not a remake - just name it something else. Snow White and the Seven Dwarves will always be just that - a beautiful fairy tale movie that has thrilled children (and adults) for ages. Will never see the 'remake'.

    slo’s THURSDAY 8/17 poll - Hot Sauce 🌶️

Oh yes, hot sauces, especially Tabasco, is available at all times. Also cook with a variety of hot peppers. I'm a south Louisiana girl and it has always been a way of life - best food ever :D Grew up about 50 miles from Avery Island where Tabasco is made - yum! No bland food in our kitchen!

Has Disney’s Strategies To It’s Loyal Customers Finally Caught Up With It?

Yes, that's us!! We've had many, many good vacations being passholders at Disney mainly between (approximately) the years 1972-2005 - started slowly 'slipping' about that time, and 'slipping' fast the last few years in many ways - our opinions, of course. Haven't been back since 2019. Enjoyed...

    My Ohana Experience

We have always loved O'Hana and ignore the few things we don't care for. Also, for those that say the 'courses' come too fast - that's always the way it's supposed to be served - Family Style - not 'courses'. Every Family style restaurant serves the same way.

You're offered $10k to only be friends with people who live on the same road as you , would you agree?

No way! Choosing our friends are priceless! Our neighbors are friendly and neighborly, but we are not social friends with any and do not choose to be.

    Keeping kids healthy at WDW

OP, at those ages I kept mine in the stroller most of the time. They touch everything, then the hands go in the mouth (very normal). Just try to keep their hands clean as much as possible, and wash, or use hand sanitizer when eating. Otherwise for little ones not much else you can do. Our...

Spinoff of TV Guy's thread.......what pound turkey are you cooking IF you're cooking turkey?

11.5 lbs. - wanted 14-15 lbs. - not to be found. DH smokes our turkey every year and leftovers are looked forward to as much as the day of. Have our usual sides, dressing, potatoes, gravy, sweet potato casserole, etc. etc. Our favorite gathering of the year. Used to get 18-20 lbs. but too large...

    I want a Disney wedding

Guess my post was worded badly. I was replying to the post that (to me) was putting more emphasis on pleasing the guests - giving them a good 'vacation' - than on what was making the day, first of all, memorable to the couple themselves. Of course, you would plan a menu that would be enjoyable...
