    First DL Visit, WDW Vet

From what I’ve read about getting a boarding pass, I’m not sure that will help.

    First DL Visit, WDW Vet

So I'll give you my opinions... You're going during spring break for some schools, so it will be crowded. Don't know if cornona virus will make too much of an impact. Yes, MaxPass is worth it. Something special and unique to DL is the Blue Bayou, if you can get reservations. No alcohol in DL...

Starbucks vs Joffrey's: Choose Your Side

I'm a loyal Starbucks person. Joffrey's is just ok to me.

Hotel for Stars Wars After Hours

I’m from Portland, so I’m certainly used to a large homeless population. What made us uncomfortable were large groups of young people. I know that sounds weird, but they started a fight in a nearby parking lot and another large group taunted my (at the time) young son. We also had someone try...

Hotel for Stars Wars After Hours

Glad to hear that Harbor’s not too bad. We stopped staying on Harbor a number of years ago because we felt uncomfortable at times.

Hotel for Stars Wars After Hours

I was able to score a couple of tickets for the Star Wars After Hours event in August--yay--but now to find a room...My biggest concern is the safety of walking around Anaheim in the wee hours. Right now, my best choices appear to be Paradise Pier or the Tropicana across the street. Any...

I'm Tired of Sweating--9/8-9/20 Quick TR

A quick trip report for our 9/8-9/20 stay at BWV. Cast of characters were myself, DH and adult DS in one room, plus Cousin, his wife and their adult son in another. We've gone to WDW in September before, but this year the heat and humidity seemed oppressive. Our last couple of days were...

Could use some input on this budget

If you're looking for cost savings, have you priced renting a Boardwalk Standard View? It's one of the most affordable options and the location is great. Boardwalk also has a take-out pizza window and a bakery, which have some expensive dining options. ESPN on the boardwalk is also fairly...

    sun umbrella

My DH has used regular umbrellas to shield him from the sun at WDW. He said he felt about 15 degrees cooler. I know people worry about umbrellas hitting others, but we’re always mindful of our surroundings.

    Fashion & Comfort - Help!

Regardless of the weather, Vans are my go-to shoe for WDW/DLR--have been for 30 years :) If we go when it's warm, I wear lightweight cotton capris and short-sleeve cotton shirts. I try to take clothes that are looser and breathable.

    What to have delivered?

Since you have the DDP, I would just order drinks for the room and perhaps some breakfast items. When we've done the DDP in the past, we would either use snack credits or split a QS breakfast. We also would split a lot of QS lunches, so we didn't run out of credits by also having breakfast...

    Disney on dialysis

My DH was on dialysis for a number of years and for him, early mornings were a non-starter. My advice is to plan what works best for you. And as a previous poster mentioned, you may not have any say in your dialysis times.

    Personal item carry on question

When I sit in the bulkhead, I carry a small crossbody that fits in the magazine/safety card pouches. That way I have important stuff nearby and not in the overhead bin.

    What size Lids?

I read somewhere that disposable coffee cup lids fit. I was going to bring some along on our trip in September and give them a try.

Will September really be THAT bad?

I'm hopeful as well. We booked a mid-September trip before SWGE opening date was announced and we would have cancelled except we're renting DVC points. I do think September will be busier than normal, but aside from Labor Day weekend I don't think WDW as a whole is going to be unbearable. As...

Changing Touring Strategy from Rope Drop to Afternoon/Evenings--Thoughts/Experience?

We also stopped rope dropping when I lost control of the adult children :) But our vacations are much more relaxed now--no stressing about everyone getting up on time. We head to the parks in the afternoon and stay until closing, and we can usually hit several rides in the last...

SW If you want to sit with your kids

Agree with OP, which is why when we've flown SW we buy EBCI plus allow extra time to get to the airport. I've flown SW a lot and find it to be a cattle car, which is why we now fly legacy airlines. Yes, they change planes and seat assignments may change, but I'm very diligent on checking our...
