Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

Thanks for the good report. Interested to hear what things that you missed that were there before Covid? Our biggest by far are FP+ and Magical Express, but FP+ is far and away what we miss most.

Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

Thank you, this is all great information. We have traveled in late July the last few trips because of school schedules. However, late July has now become 6-7’s out of 10 on average for crowds so it’s not really a crazy busy time of year anymore more moderate. When you say that lines should be...

Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

Ok thank you. Bummer. That’s certainly longer than it used to be with the buses. That’s a pretty big range as well, 40-90 minutes. Which is more typical? 40 minutes or 90 minutes? I can’t remember it ever taking more than 50 minutes to get to Hollywood Studios, or Epcot with the old bus...

Disney's POP CENTURY RESORT Information & Questions

Apologize if this has been asked already in the 130+ pages, but one question about the Skyliner. Thank you @scrappinginontario for your info in the first couple of posts, and the typical timing of getting from POP to EP and HS via Skyliner. As a rule of thumb, if you are trying to get to the...

Disney's PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE RESORT Information & Questions

Thank you. We've stayed deluxe (Boardwalk and Poly) the last couple of trips and have been happy to have at least one pool open late as long as you are not a nuisance. Glad the same is still that way at POR. However, if I recall correctly, back in 2018 we stayed at Pop Century and all of the...

Disney's PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE RESORT Information & Questions

Regarding pools. Speaking of summer months, is it still accurate that the main pool is open until 11pm and the quiet pools open 24 hours? We just booked the FD offer for this summer ('24) and we like to have a quick dip sometimes after getting back from the parks.

What is your parks frequency on WDW trips?(Survey)

Everyday. If we need rest we sleep in but still get to a park that day. We do take afternoon breaks every day now. Disney World is just too expensive to sit a day out

Best two rides not to miss

Soarin will always be in my top 5, and if we are talking my favorite based on the nostalgia and memories it’s my #1.

Hollywood Studios… Rope Drop RoR or Slinky?

Love this comment. The feeling of the parks at night, darkened skies, with park lights on, is really something special. Sorry, this doesn’t really have to do anything with the OP’s original question😂😂, but just stating how much we love the feeling of the parks at night.

    10/18/23 MK crowds insight

I agree 100% but most first timers, like us, did not know that. I do think that Disney has improved the exit after the fireworks in the past 13 years since we had our first visit. This is one of those things that I wish every first time guest to Magic Kingdom would know.

    10/18/23 MK crowds insight

This has become our tradition as well. I should have mentioned that. We let the crowds disperse while we grab ice cream and find a table in front of the Plaza. It’s a super way to end the night. We typically visit in the summertime now and the temperatures and feeling that time of night are...

    10/18/23 MK crowds insight

Yes. It's the only time I've ever feared for my family at WDW. Goes back to our very first visit in 2010. We had no idea what we were in for. Fireworks were over. It was my wife and I, my MIL and FIL, and our kids who were 3, 6 and 8 at the time. Started walking back down Main Street to...

Best two rides not to miss

I'm sure you are not alone in your top 2 picks. I have a whole bunch of them bunched together as my top picks... some of them for the technical prowess, some for the thrill level, some for nostalgia, some for the immersiveness... Dan

Another day of app issues at 7am. 10/16

Are guests still able to go to guest services later in the day and be refunded? The thing that sucks about this, is that after the initial outage G+ is still very useful. I would still want it throughout the rest of the day, but those initial minutes to hours are some of the most precious...

Warning about 3rd party tour guides

Yeah, I never paid attention to the GAC or DAS systems. Only knew about them at a super high level for those with a disability of some kind. It didn't really apply to our family so I stayed out of those conversations. Now that you mention it though, it does ring a bell. I do remember the...

Warning about 3rd party tour guides

With all the planning that goes into a WDW vacation, especially for first timers, I can see the attraction to pay someone to "show you the ropes" and maximize your day. However who knows how "good" these 3rd party tour guides are. Just a gamble. Personally I've never heard of this. Must have...

Any pages providing a history of ticket offers?

Agreed. I'm a little on the fence of what to do for summer 2024. We've LOVED renting DVC these last couple of visits but when you do that you pretty much eliminate any possibility of any package deals that Disney may offer. By the time a WDW offer comes out for late summer the DVC...

memory maker- price went up, $185. Do we really need this?

We purchased it our first couple of trips back in 2010, 2011 and I'm happy about that as they were our very first visits and I love seeing the kids in those photos when they were young. See my user photo to the left. I think that was Photopass 2011 in HS in front of the huge sorcerer hat...

    Thunderstorms at Magic Kingdom

You have to time this just right in order to benefit like you did. What typically happens is that storms or rain roll in, guests then flock to the indoor attractions skyrocketing their wait times for quite a period of time (hours). It's only when the rain is persistent and guests have finally...

    Thunderstorms at Magic Kingdom

MK is a mess during storms. All the outdoor rides close which makes all the other attractions slammed. Having said that Orlando storms are a fickle beast. Our very first visit to WDW Sept of 2010 had rain in the forecast every day of our 8 day visit. We never had a drop on us the entire trip
