We book akv club level when we have planned ahead enough to do it and want to stay at akv. Our main reasons for doing so are room location and having club level access. If the priority is Savanna view I would avoid club level.

Thanks for all the input guys! After speaking with our son as well we've decided to plan for the split stay. He really likes the akv club level and likes the idea of the two hotels. We think it will be a fun trip!

I think split stays can be nice but I would hesitate with a 5 day stay. I'm sure you'll enjoy whatever you decide but I think I'd decide what resort I wanted to be at this time and stick with it.

That's a good point. Our kids are pretty great with travel. We wouldn't want to push it but if she needs a nap that day I would expect she'd be likely to take one in the stroller. I'm guessing that is a fairly popular spring break time so it may take awhile to get into villa number 2.
