I'm thinking about trying to amass United points for flying to the UK (London or somewhere in Scotland). We would be trying to get United cards and maybe Marriott Amex cards. Any problems with this plan (other than Amex pop-up and 5/24 restrictions)?

Has anyone else transferred UR points to Hyatt and NOT had them show up immediately? I transferred some yesterday and they're not there yet. All the bloggers I can find talking about it say it's instantaneous.

We would not be traveling with kids. I'll check out both of those! Yeah, the weather is always a concern that time of year, but we've had anniversary trips to Monterey and San Francisco with great weather, and a really rainy one to Fort Bragg. They've all been fun, though! Thank you!
