    Cedar Point

CAPSLOCK - That is hard core! 14 hours with Fast Pass! That is a lot of riding and a lot of walking. With the Gold Pass 2020 being sold for $99 (2020 annual pass plus unlimited visits to Halloweekends 2019 for those not aware) - it is packed! Fast Pass is a must. We are going back up...

    New Gwazi

Just got our season passes to Cedar Point for next season - $99 for the rest of this season (Halloweekends - similar to HHN) and all of 2020. Can't beat the price if you can plan a 2020 visit.

    First trip to Universal (December)

We change hotels on our trips, it takes a little bit of thought when planning, but very doable.

    Universal Studio Orlando first timer

I would highly recommend adding days to your ticket. The price increase going from 3 to 5 days is minimal, and if you are contemplating VIP tour, then you can afford it. And, modify your mindset a bit. You are at the Hard Rock, it is like a 5 minute walk to the park! You can chill at the...

Can I walk from RPR to SFR with luggage?

Can I walk from RPR to SFR with luggage?

RPR offered to transfer my luggage to Cabana Bay, said they could promise to have it there by 4 pm, so we could go to the parks and just head over to Cabana Bay any time in the afternoon and check in and retrieve bags. That did not work for our schedule, but a very nice request. They had taxis...

Volcano Bay - help me decide Premium Seating vs Express Pass vs Cabana

I just visited for the first time 2 weeks ago with Early Entry and see NO reason for Express Pass if Early Entry is an option for you. Between 8am and 10 am, we rode the coaster twice and seven other rides with no wait - I was completely exhausted from walking up a thousand steps with no breaks...

    How many days at Universal

My wife and I could easily do 10 nights at RPR - we spend about 4-5 hours in the parks, 3-4 hours near the pool. No rush - lots of fun and relaxation. And so many food options - italian, mexican, bar and grill, sushi, etc. Staying on site with Express Pass at Universal is the only place I...

Is using the early admission still necessary?

Early entry is a four letter word for my family. We did it for Volcano Bay, but if you have Express Pass, no need in my opinion for the 2 parks. We find the quiet time of 6:30 til park close much better than early.

What NOT to miss at Universal?

Dang, Papa! Way to come through... 4 days at Portofino - you are good to go, the hard work is already done! Spend the first day getting acquainted - ride what you want, but get a feel for the layout of the hotel, City Walk, and the parks. Don't underestimate the shows, they are very fun...

Just booked 1st ever Xmas Universal trip

Best vacation we had was an early December stay at Hard Rock. The Grinch breakfast is great, we booked earliest time and was awed! All of the employees definitely stay in character and the banter back and forth with my kids anytime they asked about the Grinch was incredible. It started with...

    Best city walk restaurants?

Possibly the hardest menu to find online! If you have one, I would love to see it. I get the gist of it, but can't seem to find an actual menu...

    Best city walk restaurants?

My favorite meal EVER was the Cacio Y Pepe at VIVO! My bosses took to a very nice restaurant in Richmond, VA that had it as a special and it wasn't even close! 12 days and counting and can't wait to go there! The "white" pizza appetizer is great, the Meatball appetizer is a meal in itself...

    Looking for Universal Professionals

Best part of Universal - I never have to think about Disney again! Well, not exactly true - I have to get my daughter to the castle occasionally... In all seriousness, it is the only place I have found where I don't stress about anything. We get a room at Royal Pacific, buy our tickets from...

Does anyone prefer US over IOA for a full day?

We are a US family if we have to choose - Diagon Alley and Mummy are the standout reasons, but we love our MIB competitions, huge Transformer fans, ET nostalgia, etc. But we also love the water rides, Kong, Spidey, and Hagrids might tip the scales back to I of A.

    Confused...No Universal Experience

There are many things that a 2 year old can do at universal, such as the Hulk, Horror Make Up Show, Mummy...just kidding! Seussland is great, play areas are very fun. Camp Jurassic, Fievel's Playland are very fun as well. It is better that you have 2 days with no express pass. I always...

    Best Place to Eat

Great ideas above, but I would throw in there a consideration for the onsite hotels. Sal's Marketplace at PBH has the best pizza on site and very affordable! A quick boat trip from City Walk. Also, there is fantastic sushi at Royal Pacific. We snack in the parks, the only sit down we do is...

    Help me choose!

I would pick HR because of location. Granted, we were higher up, but I don't remember much noise in my room from lobby/pool. And we were there in July with a rock concert in the lobby, a real rock concert. But, I like it loud!...but not when I sleep. Take out the usual (wedding, child birth...

Sapphire Falls, Cabana Bay, or Royal Pacific?

You are getting into HHN season, I would vote for Express Pass if budget will allow.

    Express Pass Disappointment

We are a summer family on a school calendar. Not holidays, but still busy. Being an analytical sort, most rides are loading two vehicles at a time, one from standby and one from Express Pass, with Single Rider lines filling in any gaps. So wait times are a product of the number of people in...
