Have Resort Prices Really Increased This Much?

Great approach. Swan/Dolphin make a whole lot of sense now. I love the POFQ foodcourt, but it's easy enough to spend an evening at Disney Springs and take a leisurely boat ride there. I love the ambiance of the moderates, especially POR/POFQ, but come on...$400? That's a hard NO.

Help w. a question on using two phones when trying to use genie+ at 7am?

haha. I posted my comment before seeing your equivalent concern. We Disney fans have become the laughing stock of the National Parks, Beach, and Universal vacation fans.

Help w. a question on using two phones when trying to use genie+ at 7am?

OP wins the award for "Come up with the most dystopian thread title to summarize how a Disney World trip is now more stressful than an hour long commute to work"

EasyWDW / notfrosty Josh / obituary

This really hit me. I gravitated to him because we had some style/behaviors in common. I felt true joy reading his posts, knowing that he took on the challenge of learning the ins and outs of a very complex system, analyzed every minute detail, and lovingly distilled it for the rest of us. And I...

Thoughts from our trip 3/7-3/9 (including a BiG tip on comp for $LL ride closures)

I'll be a contrarian here. We were there March 5-9. While you found that DLH club level was a great value for you, most disboarders have more modest budgets and choose to spend their extra $ on other things. Give me the Courtyard Theme Park Entrance any day with their huge rooms, awesome...

Talk to me about motel noise

If you've got Suite Night Awards burning a whole in your pocket, Residence Inn has suites that are better for families...lots of 2 BRs. Most of the Westin upgrade opportunities appear to be King suites.

    Priceline Express Deals

And if I may offer some succinct advice. I'm in the camp that says booking an opaque reservation for a non-Disney hotel isn't worth the mental energy/risk. The only exception I choose to make is on hotwire, when occasionally I see Swan/Dolphin room choices that include heavily discounted suites...

Hyatt House at Anaheim Resort Convention Center?

Stayed there 3 years ago. Took advantage of proximity to Starbucks and Walgreens. You will encounter homeless people on the walk. I have never felt unsafe on that walk, though. There is a bit of traffic noise, but Katella traffic noise is definitely better than I-5, er, excuse me, "the 5"...

Disney's PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE RESORT Information & Questions

I’m a big Swan/Dolphin fan, but the fantastic November weather and staying at POR a month after it reopens should make this an easy decision! 😀

    Priceline Express Deals

Good job. The opaque deals on deluxes are the best deals out there. I was looking for a deal like this for our May trip. It never materialized, so we had a good time at the Swan with a fantastic rate I found. Have fun!!

UGH.....rain while there in a week....

Not a single day in the 90s...in mid June...in Florida. I don't see the problem here?

Walt Disney World SWAN, DOLPHIN & SWAN RESERVE RESORTS Information & Questions

I *think* they have room service? No MDE app checkin with Swan/Dolphin. Just drop by the front desk and ask if your room is available. It will likely not be. Yes, you can park well before checking in. We do the same thing. Enjoy your trip!

    Priceline Express Deals

All Disney hotels on hotwire are in the Bonnet Creek zone. *Priceline* has most in Bonnet Creek and a few (SSR, etc.) in Disney Springs zone.

Thanks for posting. I brought up your dates and found some good buys, especially for Christmas week! Pop $209 Grand Floridian $627 CSR $259 CBR $269 OKW $381 I am not interested in these myself. I'm a glutton for punishment and hoping beyond hope POR or POFQ will be open by then. But these are...

    Priceline Express Deals

Grand Floridian has been popping up, although not at an attractive rate. Yacht Club has been the most common deluxe (in my non-scientific opinion) to appear on Hotwire/Priceline at a really good rate.

    Priceline Express Deals

I would NOT book a nonrefundable rate now. I would book a *refundable* backup reservation, and keep an eye out for better deals! Absolutely do NOT book that Dolphin on hotwire! I just pulled up AAA rates for your exact dates, and there is a $179 rate at the Dolphin! And it's refundable! (Note...

Disney's PORT ORLEANS RIVERSIDE RESORT Information & Questions

Yup. I prefer POFQ, but I'd easily take POR with a 20% discount over POFQ with no discount. They are both superior to the other moderates (to me).
