MNSSHP 2022 Check-in -- Dates, Costumes, and More!

We're going on September 2nd but no clue as to the costumes. I had originally planned on doing cute themed shirts but the kiddo is wanting us to wear matching costumes. He keeps wanting to do something super elaborate and I have to keep reminding him that it's going to still be hot, haha!

    February 2022: Going Back Home

A small pondering update... We are now considering doing 2 smaller trips instead of 1 large trip. I am a freelancer and so it's a bit harder for me to get time off as I tend to work 6 (usually 7) days a week. So we were thinking two 5 day vacations would work! Nothing is set in stone just yet...

    Sept 2021 or Jan/Feb 2022

We have gone in September before and loved it. Still super hot but also quite rainy. This time around we are going in February just because we are hoping covid will be more of a thing of the past by then.

Being the new partner after their divorce

My ex-husband and I brought our son to WDW before and we have a lot of memories there. But they're just that, memories. We had great times then and my son will always remember those moments, but, the new memories we make with my husband/his stepfather will also be amazing moments. Neither will...

How do you carry phone to take pics ect.

Baggallini is my go-to bag for the parks! I also put a pop socket on the back of my phone. It makes me feel so much more secure when taking photos and walking around.

    February 2022: Going Back Home

The Plan .... as of right now, at least! We are currently trying to figure out how long of a trip we'd like to plan. We're currently leaning towards 8D7N WDW and 2D1N at Universal but we're also considering 6D5N WDW and 2D1N Universal. I'm personally hoping for the first one, haha, but it just...

    February 2022: Going Back Home

Hello, my fellow Disney nerds! I am Jess and I will be your host on this pre-trip adventure. Let me introduce you to the crew! First up, we have L! L was 9 (he's 14 now) in this photo but it will probably always be my favorite photo of him at WDW. This was during our very first WDW trip and...

Best 8:00am Breakfast MK for castle photos

We did BOG and we got some semi-empty photos. However, we weren't super happy with the breakfast. My son loved it but hubs and I were less than happy.

    Phone Charger

I bought a single port jackery and it works great! For our next trip hubs is having me buy the multiple port jackery.

    Overplanning, much? (Packing help)

We choose one night in the middle of the trip, do a pool evening and do laundry. We got small bottles of Tide from the Dollar Tree or Target has plastic packets for Tide. My son is older and I planned a few extra shirts knowing he sometimes wears his ice cream but with doing laundry in the...

    Coupon Train~

I pretty much stopped couponing when I was diagnosed as Celiac. I would spend like $10 on newspapers and only get 1 coupon I could use. :( So now I mostly just print as needed from a coupons app. I do miss the trains though <3

    Cutting down my groceries expenses

I hear you! Our problem is we end up wasting food! It drives me nuts. I'll buy delicious fruits and veggies and the kid always chooses processed snacks over the fresh. So I'm not buying any processed snacks anymore. Also our bill is up pretty high due to buying gluten free and a good portion...

    Coupon Train~

Yeah I saw that, usnusuloose. No good! I wish I could join but it wouldn't really be worthwhile, sadly. We're a gluten free family. I used to be a huge couponer but it can be hard to find gluten free coupons.

    Dollar Tree Finds

Oh how I love the Dollar Tree! I go 2-3 times a week. I get books for myself and the kiddo, meds (name brand about to expire usually within a year), dog potty bags, gift bags, tissue paper, holiday decor, inexpensive Disney goodies, organizing containers, etc etc. You have to shop often and look...

I should be cleaning, but instead I am on Disboards!! Shhh... Dont tell my husband!

Hehe! I'll do the same thing. Hubs sometimes walks in and will ask what I'm doing. "Uh, work. I'm working." He just laughs and shakes his head because he knows exactly what I'm doing!

How do you back up your photos/videos while at Disney?

I just bring multiple memory cards to use. Also I plan on upgrading our cloud space before the next trip to save photos that way.
