    Fantasmic seating question

Do you need to be able to sit (just not on the ground), or is standing okay? There are standing sections behind the sitting sections. There is no sitting option besides ground in the regular sitting sections, however. If you decide on a wheelchair, there is a handicapped section that you enter...

    Another Hotel thread!

With a Disney hotel, you get access to EMH (maybe something you'd find beneficial since you'll only be there for three days). The theming also can't be beat and you don't ever have to leave the "Disney bubble." Good Neighbors are definitely a decent option when it comes to price and proximity...

    DCA/RSR Strategy

As far as I know, this is still the rule. Also, I'm pretty sure RSR has never been linked to the rest of the FP system, so you're usually able to get another FP immediately.

    Disney Land November

If you are currently WDW APs, you also might want to crunch the numbers for upgrading to a Premier Passport (even if just one person in your party does it). The AP discounts at DLR are far and away better than those at WDW and can save you money pretty much anywhere. We've used the Disney...

What to do in the evenings?

Early evening tends to be one of the most crowded times of day, though some people will have started lining up for the parade already. You might find that the last showing of Mickey and the Magical Map is one of the least crowded (usually around 5pm).

    Any trouble with e-tickets

As long as you have something for them to scan, it won't be an issue at all.

    Haunted Mansion

I don't think they've had FP since the initial rush when the Hatbox Ghost was first added.

Disney to LAX (and other traffic questions)

LA traffic is essentially impossible to predict. It might be terribly backed up and it might be fine. I would always give yourself at least 2 hours to get from Anaheim to your first destination in LA (so 2 hours before you needed to be at Enterprise). That basically has you driving right at rush...

Is there an end date for the diamond celebration?

Also, just noticed your P.S. GCH is much more about sort of the elegance and grandeur, while DLH is more Disney-centric. Depends on which you prefer! You can't go wrong with either.

Is there an end date for the diamond celebration?

Disney's "yearlong" celebrations tend to last for 18 months, so I wouldn't be surprised if it went all the way thru 2016. Nothing official has been announced—that's just my guess.

First time to Disneyland! What would you do first?!?

We always do Pirates first as well. Perfect attraction to get you into the full Disney experience, plus it's so much better than the WDW version. I would definitely start at Disneyland. DCA is fun and all, but it certainly can't compete with the original park.

WDW or DCL for DLR vet?

Since one of the biggest costs associated with heading to Florida is the airfare, I would suggest a land-and-sea vacation as well. We did a 3-night Dream cruise followed by a 7-night stay at WDW this year, and it was so much fun!

    Early Plaza Inn breakfast?

I'd still recommend doing an early breakfast because the food is fresh, you might get to see more characters, and you're still getting the experience without eating up park time.

    Where to start....where to start

Disney has said that MagicBands aren't coming to DLR, so no need to worry about that. The difference between EMH and MM is a little confusing (especially because I think Disney uses MM in its ad copy when selling tickets), but EMH is for all Disney hotel guests on alternating days while MM is...

Is California Screamin as bad as Rockin Rollar Coaster?

Both are a little too thrilling for me these days, but I would say Screamin' is less so. In addition to the take-off not seeming quite as fast, I like that is has some slower parts and some faster parts for you to recover a bit.

We Moved to Disneyland!! Now What…? Stories from New DLR Locals - Updated 1/15

Real Life Update 3/11/15 Plenty of Gnus Hi all. I know it's been a while since my last post to this trip report. Before the big DIS upgrade, the moderators went through and deleted all posts with links to outside websites, so my reports ended up a little gutted. Since then, I've still been...

A Very Pleasant Good Alaska Cruise - May 2014 Disney Wonder TR (Updated 1/18)

Hi All. The DIS moderators went through before the upgrade to the new format and deleted any posts with links to outside sites—so obviously my trip reports took quite a hit. While I can't post a direct link, the blog is called Wandering Mouseketeers if you want to do a web search.
