Another week is almost in the books. For those that have weekends yall enjoy them. For the rest... well I would like to say something thoughtful and poetic.. but nope I got nothing.

How did that work for you? Yeah, we usually get about 3 weeks of 120 without humidity to kill it off here, before the humidity comes back and we go full 120 degree sauna for the other 8 months of summer.

Well the meat gets to rest, the cook doesn't. LOL It was a great show. And my DD loved it. She talked 90mph about it all the way home.

Happy Easter guys. 16 hrs and a sleepless night later it came out great. Now we are loading up to and heading in to the city to watch the musical Wicked tonight.

Hope everyone has a nice Easter weekend and the weather starts cooperating for some nice spring weather. My DD and I got 21 lbs of pork shoulder into vacuum brine last night gettign ready to fire up the smoker for the first long cook of the season.

Glad you got home safe. How was the visit? The airlines wanted to make sure they got the snowbirds back to Canada

Tell me about it. Its not all bad, I only have a couple of months a year where I work for a month straight. Then months where every weekend is a 3 day weekend. The joys of being salary. And next summer I get a sabbatical, 4 weeks consecutive paid vacation.

Its not nice to rub it in... My next Saturday is in April.

Yup. I always plan on it and set my expectations. And we still have an amazing time. I cant afford to go every year like I would like but we make the best of it each time when we can go.

For those who get weekends enjoy for the rest of us.

And that makes tomorrow a hungover day, so might as well just call it a 4 day weekend.
