    Sassagoula Pizza Express

When Port Orleans reopened, we went and got pizza from the food court, and it was burnt, really bad. They remade it and it was still burnt just not as much. They seemed to have a problem with the open temp and I don't know if that is still the case or not. Hope they fixed it. I used to like...

What was the renewal price for the Disney Sorcerer pass when it came out?

Our passes have to be renewed by 4/1/22. We upgraded last year from Weekday Select to Theme Park Select (which were some of the FL resident only options). I actually thought the Theme Park Select was a good alternative from Weekday Select, even though the calendar was convoluted. Regardless...

    Boardwalk Villas laundry facilities?

Wow, that is pretty amazing! Thanks for the tips everyone, I'll have to download the app. We picked up a small bottle of detergent to take. Long story short, we live near Disney and we have a slab leak and without water until the plumber comes to fix it and it's getting to be pretty...

    Boardwalk Villas laundry facilities?

Are the DVC laundry machines still free? I know this post is quite old.

    Dirty room at Poly

When we stayed at the Polynesian, this was when the rooms were new, the water in the shower was backing up several inches. It was gross, even when it was "new". Can't imagine how disgusting it is now after years have gone by. They need to deep clean those showers. Plus their drain design is...

Going Deluxe - am I crazy?

Is it really $600+ a night just for the room? or does that include your dining or ticket cost too as in the whole vacation package deal? Back when we paid cash for deluxe rooms I'd sometimes get them for about $240-250 a night, granted that was prior to 2012. I have to say I do really enjoy...

Delux Resort that offers quick service

I don't love the Polynesian quick service, always seems like a total rip off. I do like Geyser Point at Wilderness Lodge or Gasparilla Grill at Grand Floridian. We've only eaten at CR a couple times. Mara was ok. Haven't tried Beach Club, the burnt pizza smell is a turn off.

Poll: How did it feel the first time you wore a mask out in public

The last time I was in public was to pick up medicine for my mom at the grocery pharmacy. This was back in mid-March. I brought the mask in my bag and wasn't sure if I would wear it. I was also using latex gloves to do the shopping. I got nervous when I got over to the pharmacy and saw the...

    Questions before buying DVC

If you planned on getting value rooms at AKV you pretty much need to own at AKV, the availability at 7 months is non-existent. AKV also has a lot of choices, you have Jambo value studio, Jambo regular studio, and also Kidani studio. If a studio sized room is what you want, then AKV has the most...

Chefs de France disaster. Never again.

It wasn't your fault. They should have treated you better and tried to honor the reservation time. I've had a similar experience for the 4th of July, however we missed the fireworks. All you can do it change your planning accordingly for the future, don't trust that it will go smoothly. If...

    Poll: Honest thoughts on 'Ohana?

The never ending increase in prices has made most of the restaurants a bad value for anyone paying OOP, more so now than let's say 5 years ago. The dining plan being an alternate form of currency skews the reality of the cost for most people. When you are paying with a credit, it doesn't feel...

    Breakfast for dinner

Can't think of one and couldn't find one. But, I am pretty sure they sell breakfast items in the resort gift shop freezer case, eggs, milk, bacon, etc. Worst case scenario you can microwave or toast something up in your room maybe? Or you can go off property for IHOP, Denny's, etc. If you want...

Sci Fi Dine In- Yay or Nay?

Definitely a yes vote for me. I really like Sci-Fi, it's really retro. As far as the reservation time goes, try to find something a little earlier if it pops up, or show up an hour early, tell them you are hungry and see if they can seat you earlier. Personally, I do not like sitting at the...

    WWYD? Date night at Disney

Hard question, there really are a ton of possibilities. If you are looking to make up for your 40th and anniversary then maybe look at a signature restaurant. I've heard so many great things about Shula's, and I don't think that would break the bank the way V&A might. Jiko is very nice, we...
