These 2 tours were mentioned as new

They've definitely had the train tour before, but it wasn't around for long. I did it a few years back.

    Progreso Shore Excursions Recommendations

Blast from the past! My family agrees that this is without question the best excursion we've ever done. I'd recommend that company we booked with in a heartbeat.

Napa Rose Chef’s Counter - Here’s How to Book It

It's currently offered either Thurs-Sun or Fri-Sun, can't remember which. It's only one seating a night, and you can start that seating anytime from 5:30 PM until I think 7:00 or so. The cost is $150/person, and we got seven courses with a couple of 'mini courses' scattered throughout in late June.

Oogie Boogie Bash Halloween 2023 Super Thread

I'm surprised at that too. I thought that would be one of the first to go.

Napa Rose Chef’s Counter - Here’s How to Book It

$150/person before wine pairing; currently offered Thurs-Sun. I don't know the current number of courses.

Napa Rose Chef’s Counter - Here’s How to Book It

It has not changed. I made on on April 1 for a June trip.

    Cruising alone and dining

I can tell you from personal experience that the last sentence isn't always true. I cruised solo a few years ago on the Wonder and they put me with another single traveler of the opposite sex at a 2-top. It was a supremely awkward dinner experience every night.

    Candy Cane Inn reopening date?

Remember how in the first season of Ozark they kept mentioning how ongoing never-ending construction projects were one of the easiest way to launder money? I'm really starting to wonder here... :D

    Masking on Ships

Exactly. The focus on "you're fine" with the complete ignoring of the other people you might infect is frustrating. Someone who 'felt fine' just brought COVID into my father's memory care unit and they now have a full-on outbreak. Several residents with advanced Alzheimers who developed COVID...

    Masking on Ships

If I were in a grocery store for 5-7 days in tight quarters with the same people, sure I would. But since that's not typically grocery store activity, then no, probably not. People test after high-exposure situations so that they know when they're sick and can isolate accordingly so they don't...

Disneyland Return Dates for Fantasmic, World of Color & New Finale to Main Street Electrical Parade

Just to clarify that-- I was the one who reported that timing. The vague time was only because I tried at 1:30AM when I happened to wake up and it wasn't available. I fell asleep, woke back up at 3:30AM, and it was available. There may be a set time, which I suspect is 3AM, but I'm not sure...

    WOC desert party

On the third day reservations were available, they dropped sometime between 1:30 AM PST and 3:30 AM PST-- I happened to be awake at both times and checked. Not available at 1:30; were available at 3:30 AM. I'm assuming based on past experience that they probably opened up at 3AM.

Should we get PCR test before cruise if vaccinated?

We PCR tested two weeks before so that in case we got a positive from an unknown case of COVID we'd have time to get a recovery letter. We then tested again the day before to ensure we were negative. before we got on the plane and also so that there wouldn't be any nasty surprises at port.

Medical providers seeing COVID in PPE then cruising

My wife is an infectious disease physician, and we faced this specific situation before sailing two weeks ago. As long as you're in full PPE, it does not count as exposure.

How have the passenger numbers been lately?

The Wonder had 1430 on the December 21 cruise over Christmas. The crew member I spoke with said this was the most so far.

Denied Boarding at the Port...Can We Fly Home?

This is exactly what we did. Tested thirteen days before our cruise so that if we did have a positive from an unknown past case, we legitimately had time to get an 'all clear to travel' letter from a doctor. I mean, granted we could be exposed during that twelve days and test positive at the...

    Vaccine requirement change date

My wife is a pediatrician who will be on the ACIP next year and she concurs. :)

    Progreso Shore Excursions Recommendations

We're on that same cruise too and had originally booked the Mayapan Ruins, Lazy River, and Cave Swim because it incorporated two things we really wanted to experience in Mexico: Mayan ruins and swim in a cenote. We were really tempted to switch to the Chichen Itza with Cenote when it became...

What exactly is needed for 30 day online check in?

Stupid question: when everyone is saying 'selfie,' I'm assuming they just mean a recent picture? it doesn't have to a be a literal selfie, right?
