    Are excursions worth the $$$?

We usually don't do excursions on Oahu, but we booked the catamaran that sails out of the lagoon. It was nice trip up and down the coast, but the best part of the trip was one of our guides was Jason Momoa's dad, the locals call him "Uncle Joe".

Spring Break ‘23 DVC member Trip Report

Typically the chairs on the beach are the last to go, almost everyone goes for the pool chairs. I almost never have a hard time finding a beach chair, unless it's really busy season.

Do Silver Members have any chance at booking Palo Brunch?

Not sure if things have changed since 2019, but the first thing we do when get onboard is find the Dining Desk (on the Wonder it was usually on Deck 3 in the midship lounge) and we have never had an issue grabbing a brunch slot. Also noting that there is usually a bunch of people waiting so be...

    Souvie Update - April 22, 2022

They still had plenty of popcorn buckets today at all locations but I got a push notification on my phone at 4:46pm that all sippers are sold out and to check back throughout this summer. I just bought a sipper at 2:30pm at Harbour Galley. They were already hinting at sippers running out...

Does anyone do all 4 race weekends each year? (or any year?)

We used to do 5-6 races per year, between Disneyland, WDW and even the DLP race, had to get the Castle to Chateau medal. I miss the Disneyland races but my wallet sure doesn't.

    Feb 2022 trip reflections

If you rent a car, there are some many local places that have better and cheaper food options. Shige's Saimin Stand in Wahiawa (on the way to the North Shore) has $2 hamburgers that are amazing. O'Kim's in Chinatown, our new favorite restaurant that has unique dishes that also does not break the...

Updates? on Electric Car Charging at Aulani Resort? Parking Fees?

They have ChargePoint chargers on multiple floors in the garage. I used it once and was never charged for plugging in, not sure if it was error on ChargePoints app?

Adding Memory Maker after buying the Annual Pass?

I went to Guest Relations at Disney Springs to add it. They have a virtual queue but even when I was called back in, I still waited an additional 30 minutes but YMMV.

Has anyone been to the parks recently and NOT used Genie+?

Was there Nov 1 - 3 and did not purchase Genie+. Stayed on property and took advantage of the extra 30 minutes but on Monday, SDMT had a delayed opening so rode SM instead. Spent the rest of the time eating, looking for the 50th statues and took a mid day break. Went to Epcot late for Harmonious...

    Laundry?

Yes, they will give you tokens for two full loads of laundry. I haven't done more than that but I'm sure you can go back later and ask for more.

    Canadian rant

Take-out is still an option for most restaurants. Some of my favorite local spots still aren't doing dine-in yet. Dinner and view from the villa is not a bad thing.

    Pool/Lagoon float

We bought the float in the original post on Amazon. These are great, very durable, easy to inflate and take up very little room in your luggage. We used them in the lagoon when the pool deck was way too crowded. We also tried the D shaped float that you get at the ABC Stores and went through a...

    Just watched Governor’s press conference

We have a trip planned in a few weeks, still debating on going. It looks like the restaurants, bars, gyms etc. will implement the vaccine mandate so hopefully that will help curb the spread.

Videos and Updates From Disney Magic At Sea UK Cruises - Post Five New Vlogs From London Tilbury Cruises

Just saw the other thread and updated my post. I watched one of the vloggers go to the muster station and assumed it was like the old system. Can't remember which cruise line it was but the guests did the drill from their room.

Videos and Updates From Disney Magic At Sea UK Cruises - Post Five New Vlogs From London Tilbury Cruises

Was hoping the muster drill would be completely virtual like some other cruise lines but not standing shoulder to shoulder with other people for 30+ minutes is a nice change.

1-day park hopper on 7/1 - both parks possible?

RotR was having issues last week, we had boarding group 17 and the ride was down for several hours. Our return time was 11-12pm and the ride didn't open again until 1pm. Also noticed some of the wait times were inflated, Splash was listed as 60 minutes but in reality it was 30 minutes. Some of...

    No churros on Disneyland property?

Haven't had a Disney World churro in years but from my experience, very few people bought them so they just sat in the carts for who knows how long. It tasted stale and cold. At Disneyland, it's pretty hard to not find a fresh churro because there is almost always line and they never sit for...

Rise of the Resistance BOARDING GROUPS Superthread Part 2 *No Ride Spoilers Please* *PLEASE READ POSTS 1-3*

I read all of the tips here and also watched a bunch of YouTube videos to make sure I gave myself the best chance. While keeping an eye on an atomic clock, I had the page up on my phone and kept swiping down to reload every few seconds. I had my wife wait to click on "Join Boarding Group" on her...
