Here Now & Just Back WDW Reopening Experiences Including Park Hopping

I find this pre-show/no pre-show thing interesting. At first it seemed they were excluding pre-show due to COVID, but now it's so sporadic it's almost like they're using it as a way to maybe get through boarding groups faster or catch up due to downtimes? I haven't ridden yet (so thanks...

More Park availability in June just released! HS available!

I hope you are right and this holds, but most of us that are now concerned about crowds have trips coming up in a month or less. They only opened up extra availability last night, so it’s not much of a surprise it isn’t affecting wait times yet. Let’s see what happens in a couple weeks, when...

    Capacity has been increased

Right, and unfortunately anyone who has a trip between when they start increasing capacity further and when they get staffing in order enough to open more things to help eat up those extra people may have to pay with longer wait times and larger crowds. I can't say I'm surprised that Disney...

    Capacity has been increased

Same here. Since the call yesterday I've been checking the availability calendar pretty regularly and if anything availability has gotten worse (used to show Epcot some days, now nothing). I think what OP is seeing is in reference to the fact that they have ALREADY increased availability (which...

Thoughts about new CDC guidelines and how it might affect your Disney vacation.

This is exactly where I've landed after having a day to mull this over. Like another poster said above, my knee jerk reaction was surprisingly worry - but that's just because this risk has been ingrained in all of us over the past year+. Wife and I are fully vaccinated and by the time our quick...

WDW to reduce physical distancing in phases?

Yes, this is what I keep wondering. The lower wait times seemed to coincide with the removal of FastPass+, but they also coincided with limited capacity. Obviously both of those things are going to lower attraction wait times. The real question is how much of an effect each really has. Chapek...

WDW to reduce physical distancing in phases?

Wow - that was quick! Incredible! I don't think it took me more than a day or two when I did it either. And still the park calendar is showing full! That's very exciting - super happy for you! Enjoy your trip!

WDW to reduce physical distancing in phases?

I'd be surprised if they started increasing capacity this month, assuming that's the way go with this, but it's definitely possible. My trip is early June and I'm thinking that's about when it would hit. That said, are you just looking at the park reservation calendar or actually going through...

WDW to reduce physical distancing in phases?

I think the problem as many are pointing out isn't the lack of or reduction in social distancing in and of itself, but what it will mean for park capacity allowances. If they reduce "official" distancing that means they can likely increase park capacity so whether or not people follow the rules...

READ POST 1 & 2 FIRST-Rise of the Resistance Boarding Group Planning and Information-*No Spoilers*

iCloud storage shouldn't have any affect on this, and I could be wrong but I don't believe the MDE app is using the Safari webkit/API so I don't think that would affect it either. I really think it was just a random glitch. I have an iPhone 12 Pro with plenty of storage free and no Safari issues...

You got it. This experience just solidified my need to have my wife try with me when the day comes and start practicing now!

READ POST 1 & 2 FIRST-Rise of the Resistance Boarding Group Planning and Information-*No Spoilers*

Well, after two+ weeks of near daily practicing at home on the 1pm slot for my early June trip, I had my first failure today. I took all the same steps as usual: switched my phone onto cellular since my wifi is way faster than I'll get anywhere down there and I want as real a test as possible...

Magical Express to end in 2022

Does Airline check-in at other resorts include them bringing your bags to the airport for you? I've never used it anywhere else either but that's the only thing that really matters. Last I heard Disney isn't even doing it right now due to COVID restrictions anyway, but even if they bring it...

Magical Express to end in 2022

That's good to know. For our planned trip this year, even if they have DME still, if I have to get my bags myself and pick them up myself, I may take Uber anyway. The baggage part was the only part that really appealed to us anyway. I don’t mind paying extra for a trip as Uber is 1,00 times more...

Magical Express to end in 2022

Oh I didn't realize that. Major bummer there. So I guess this change will affect us even if we go this year like planned anyway. Unless it comes back for a final run before DME goes away.

Magical Express to end in 2022

Don't like this at all, and no way I'll rent a car and pay for parking, so it'll be cab/uber for us after this. Despite the extra cost, I don't hate that as Disney is right in saying it's more convenient. I loved having my bags picked up (even though I know they aren't doing it now due to COVID...

Area to play for young toddler?

Unless something has changed in the past year, adults are allowed as well. Either that or I've been breaking the rules for years. :rolleyes1

11/2 MDE "Magical Enhancements" - can't display plans

Happened to me as well. I was able to load the website briefly, and then the error message. So far the app seems to be working however, so give that a try if you can!

Disney's PORT ORLEANS FRENCH QUARTER RESORT Information & Questions

This had been my experience too so I was glad to hear it's only happening sometimes still, and at slow times of the day where it's not much of a bother. Sharing a bus headed back from a busy park isn't fun, but it's still not too bad because (presumably) they'd send extra buses to account for...

Disney's PORT ORLEANS FRENCH QUARTER RESORT Information & Questions

Yes, this absolutely helps. Thanks for re-explaining to my oft-confused self. :-) I was just mixed up about whether or not those two parks were always sharing or just doing it sometimes. It sounds like the latter, which I've seen as well, especially during mid-day so that makes sense.
