Yep - my day to day life consists of a 10 mile side street radius.
Ok - I'll add it to my list to check out - perhaps a day game on the weekend - maybe loop in the Getty and/or the Observatory (not sure how close they are) to get the most bang for the drive.
Also not an art scholar. I do...
Mark!!! I've been lurking periodically and even looked for a new report from you a couple weeks ago - didn't find it. I then found a thread you commented on and noticed a 'new to me' TR in your sig block! The following start made me a bit sad that I'd missed so much - but then so happy to be...
Quick trip to Arizona next month and a trek through Utah, Grand Teton, and Yellowstone in the fall. I will be revisiting your TR for some tips.
We may take a long weekend sometime this summer to try and hit Yosemite.
Don't you do all the planning? :rolleyes1
Great reading the recap and remembering reading about some of the fun stories of the original trip reports.
Your state travel TR's have really inspired us to get out and travel now rather than just plan 'someday in retirement'. We have a beautiful...
Loved binge reading this today. I even had to start from the beginning again as I've been away so long. Thank you for sharing your adventures. Your writing style is so fun and the pictures are amazing. So glad your family finished the 50 state quest!
That's not bad for 6 people on a 2 week trip.
Nice shot.

I think that is the first time I've seen anything like that.
You did say this was a big, expensive, blowout celebration......
Nice read - it's funny that the kids were looking forward to a long drive with not much to look at.
If I recall correctly, you've pulled this move a couple of times before.
I was surprised that there was no mention of PB&J - only take-out.
Do you do all the driving or do you enlist help from...
I do - good memory. With the May gray and drizzle this weekend, I'm hunkered down. I wouldn't turn down a fire in the fireplace.
This is mind boggling - how does it even get that cold?
This might be why I stay in. I still don't change what I wear in the rain - I pick shoes and a...
Thank you sir for this highly entertaining snow update as well as all the support I need to firmly tell my husband I never plan to live in a place with snowfall.
I'm with Alison - I would have never known all of that. I cannot wrap my head around not being able to just hop in my car and go...
Of course - we have one for each wing in the house. We'll have our 5th delivered later this year, we'll send the jet for you. :rotfl2: I get choked up about the regular art prints that are for sale. I think a handbag is about the most expensive souvenir I've come home with.
Please tell...
I agree - we discovered this after booking a couple of early morning flights where we had to drive 2 hours just to get to the airport. After doing that twice, we finally booked a stay at the hotel for the night before. I had not thought about doing that for Disney and the arrival - we book the...
