I can't imagine they would have any major closures at YC. They have already done some major remodeling to the bathrooms. They also have nice closet systems. The YC rooms already have the platform beds and vinyl flooring. The rooms are much nicer at the Yacht Club than they are at the Beach Club...

The simple answer is supply and demand. People are willing to pay high prices to stay there. Disney has no reason to lower the price. It is a perfect example of what Capitalism is all about. :)

We are booked at POR for Aug 25-29th. It will be hot and probably rainy. But it is also a low crowd/low room rate period. :)

We do both table service and counter service. It is nice to have at least one table service per day. We have added one Disney Springs table service to our trips. :) We haven't done character dining since the grandchildren were little.

We booked a trip from Sept 29 - Oct 2nd at the YC. :) We were at POR last year - Sept 9-14, 2023 and it was hot but not rainy. We lucked out with few showers during this time. :)
