Correct on the fire department.
I was just checking to see if Animal Kingdom is in Osceola County... it may not be, which means all four theme parks would be in Orange. That would only leave some Disney resorts (the All-Stars, for example) in Osceola. Any incidents at the All-Stars are covered...
Directly from Disney’s site. There aren’t any tricks or workarounds with one day tickets, other than *possibly* getting them from attending a shady timeshare presentation somewhere 😵
Like, in the park (or attached to it)? None.
Animal Kingdom Lodge is nearby, but only reachable by bus. The All-Stars are considered Animal Kingdom area resorts. Possibly Coronado Springs as well.
It was a pretty crowded area for us. The CM took the tickets from people right by the ropes, but didn’t bother with anyone further back. Then some of these renegades’ children snuck right up to the rope.
It is pretty great. The only thing I didn’t like: people snuck into the reserved area and didn’t get kicked out. I heard them joking about their “tickets”. I don’t usually get too worked up about these things, but I have to admit I did with this one.
Around holidays, resort parking lots go on lockdown. Easter for sure. So maybe Memorial Day weekend as well.
Sometimes Disney issues a press release announcing these restrictions.
I completely agree with the Landry’s card idea (I have one myself)... but if the OP is using a dining plan, that $25 credit may be of no use.
In that case, yep, try calling the restaurant directly.

No. We got stuck on Spaceship Earth, and I missed my check-in time. Ended up in the C group. We’re a family of 5. We were still able to find 2 seats in the middle and a whole row in the back. Worked out fine. We make sure to bring bags that fit under the seat.
*Highly* recommend the Minnie Van from WBC to MK. We just absolutely loved it. You go to the front of the bus station- right by the bag check.
Minnie Vans do serve all of the Bonnet Creek hotels now, as well as Flamingo Crossing and the Four Seasons.
