    Advance booking DAS?

FWIW, we were at DW in mid-March and had advanced booked a DAS ride (the morning of) only to have the booking disappear once we got in the park. We were told that you can't pre-book and as soon as you enter the park, any DAS booking is reset.

    Virtual Queues with DAS guests

Based on recent reports, it appears that DisneyWorld has tweaked their Virtual Queue system and is now requiring that VQ slot holders be at the ride when their slot number is called or they forfeit their slot. I feel that this is unreasonable for many DAS holders so have written to them...

    Ogdensburg-'Ottawa' Airport

It was nice while it lasted but it looks like Allegiant Air has stopped flying from Ogdensburg This is not very surprising but it appears that Allegiant Air has ceased operations at Ogdensburg Airport. Hopefully, it's just temporary and once COVID border restrictions are lifted, they will...

Toll fee changes on way to WDW and Orlando.

That's a good point. The E-Pass Xtra has a 'non-replaceable' battery. They say it's good for up to 8 years so it's not something to worry about for a while but I don't think there's an indicator on it so you probably have to look at the screen to make sure it scans okay. We've registered our...

Excellent ticket promo on Visit Orlando right now

Great find. Thanks for sharing. The prices I'm seeing are a bit higher though (https://tickets.visitorlando.com/tickets/theme-parks/universal-orlando/ticket/universal-promo): Universal Orlando: 2 Park, 3-Day Park-to-Park Ticket with 3rd Park & 4th Day FREE Adult Our Price: $299.99 Gate Price...

How long does it take to drive from Disney

It's pretty hard to estimate since traffic has such an impact (I think last time we went (about a month ago)), it probably took almost 15 minutes just to get into the parking at US! (no idea why but the lane we picked was SUPER slow).

Toll fee changes on way to WDW and Orlando.

We've had a SunPass for years but this year got a EPass Xtra. I mostly just use it in Florida but it's convenient to have the option to use it in other states (I believe we used it in NY in the Spring as well). Also it's nice that it's removable (we had the sticker before) as we use it in our...

    Rowing Machine

Another option is if any of the "non-premium" resorts have exercise room (I have no idea). I'd call a few of them and ask. I wouldn't be that surprised if you can use it at no cost. I wouldn't be surprised if you are able to simply "use" the exercise rooms at other resorts by just going to...

Everything You Need to Know about Redeeming Airmiles for Disney World & Land & Universal Tickets

We got an adult ticket for our 9 yo and used it in October and it wasn't a problem.

    Thanksgiving guests?

I don't think that's a problem. You can just drive in with them and then it's not going to be an issue or you can add them to your reservation (I don't remember offhand but I believe you can have 10 people on a campground reservation) and then they can drive themselves in.

Flying Toronto to MCO End of Summer is $$$

That's the time without traffic and it could certainly be much longer depending on the time of day. It's also using 528 to Port Canaveral which is a toll (I'd use it but you have to factor in the cost. I'm not sure how much that one is but you're on it for close to 50 miles)

    Boondocking the night before??

Absolutely, I think it depends from park to park but we always call whenever we'll be arriving after 5pm. Make sure you ask about the code (I think last time we stayed at Fort Desoto (near St Pete, FL), we called and they said they'll leave a packet with the information (which they did) but we...

    Boondocking the night before??

One thing to check though is that the park hours and if they have "late arrival / check-in". Some parks close at 6-7pm and you can't enter if you haven't checked in by then. We often stay overnight at WalMarts when travelling and most of the time, it's because we are arriving at 9pm or later.

    Surprise trip/border crossing

When I originally, read the question, I was all for the "don't try to hide it, don't pass the note" but after reading the responses, I think I would call the border crossing that you are planning on going through, ask the POE officer you speak to if this would be possible to keep it a secret...

Amount of time to allow at MCO

It also depends on the time of year. I don't think I'd go there less than 2 yours before a flight but we flew from there 2 weeks ago and I think it took maybe 10-15 minutes to go through security. That said, we flew from there a few Christmases ago and I believe it took me over 2 hours to get...

Everything You Need to Know about Redeeming Airmiles for Disney World & Land & Universal Tickets

FYI, for Universal, Airmiles currently offers a 3-day, 3-park Park-to-Park ticket for 3800AM. If someone was interested, you could buy this tickets with points and then "upgrade it at Universal" to an Annual Pass. The value / upgrade cost will depend on the current prices but at the moment, a...

Upgrading park tickets to Seasonal APs

I would check with them but I would be very surprised if it's a problem. If you do the upgrade at Guest Services once you are inside the park, you don't need park admission anymore (as long as you aren't planning on visiting another park) and I don't imagine it will be a problem for the guest...

Upgrading park tickets to Seasonal APs

If I was you, I'd upgrade at the end of the 1st day and then you won't have the problem of the blackout day (Or any time once you are inside the park if you aren't planning on doing Park-to-Park). I am curious though, if you upgrade on the 2nd day of a 2-day pass, do they credit you the value...

    Ticket upgrade question

I upgraded on day 1 because that's what worked with our schedule (we were only in Orlando for 2 days so couldn't use all the days anyway) but I should have asked if I could use 3 days and then do the upgrade (but ultimately, a day more or less doesn't make much difference with a annual pass).

    Ticket upgrade question

Mine were from "AirMiles Reward Program" so it was a points reward so I didn't actually pay anything. They scanned it and they said the value was $284.99
