My vacation days are already set for the year…but Figment! I’ve figured out my plan; there’s a conference the same weekend that I can take extra days for, and the hospital system I work for will help foot the bill for my hotel. Now I just need to score an entry into the challenge! 🤑

Following this thread! We’ve started talking about July 12-14. There’s a conference that weekend at the Grand, so I can get some of the trip reimbursed. My employer won’t pay for the conference until January, but I’m wondering if I should book the hotel earlier. I’m also getting concerned about...

Thank you for your post...and for elaborating! We’re DW veterans who are planning on heading west to DL next summer. I’m already hesitant about SW opening over the summer & we’re planning mid-July for my birthday. I think being more prepared ahead of time for some of these differences will help...

I lucked out and discovered there is a conference that weekend I can go to & my employer will be gracious enough to reimburse my airfare & hotel. I guess I can put up a little more for the race.

So happy to see a thread started already! I was supposed to run W&D earlier this month but a family crisis got in the way. All is good now & I've decided to set my sights on Princess 2018...maybe the GSC.

I got my gift card! My husband's party ticket had arrived with our park tickets, so I just need mine to arrive. Now to find time to finish my training runs; My schedule has not been very cooperative the past 2 weeks. I can't believe it's so close! We leave a week from Friday.

Another newbie question: out of curiosity, how long does it truly take to stop for a character pic? I'll be towards the back of the pack & am wondering if even one stop would be an option without falling too far behind? Thanks!

Somewhat same here! Slow runner & past few weeks training has been less than optimal. I'm quite happy to not be in the last corral...the more distance I get between myself & those dreaded pacers the better, lol!

Our first visit to the Fort last October was in a tent: myself, DH, DD13, DD11, DS7. So much fun! For our visit, the weather was perfect (over Halloween week last year) and there is so much to do even without going to the park! There was plenty of room for our tent and a screen 'room', and...
