Official Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend 2020

I had the same conversation with them, when I declined (politely) the gift vouchers they came straight back with a cash refund offer.

Official Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend 2020

I was initially offered the gift cards as well, and politely went back and again explained my situation (which given I am outside the US and my country’s travel restrictions, there is no guarantee I could use a Disney vacations gift card in the next year or so). They came back a second time and...

Official Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend 2020

I might just give this a try. I live in Australia and we have already been told by our government that overseas travel is likely banned until 2021 at the earliest, so I’ve cancelled all of my trip except the race registration...

Disneyland Paris Princess Run - Cancelled!

Has anyone got their refund yet?

Official Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend 2020

For those of us from outside of the US the chances of international travel being back to "normal" by november are looking slimmer and slimmer. At this point I've assumed I won't be there sadly.

Disneyland Paris Princess Run - Cancelled!

By the way it now appears you can cancel (without fees) all bookings prior to 1 June at Disneyland paris. Form is on the homepage for those (like me) who know that travel is impossible even if the race does magically go on...

Disneyland Paris Princess Run - Cancelled!

The major airlines in my country have cancelled every international flight from the end of March until the end of May, and we have been told by the PM to not head oversease for several months, so safe to say I won't be running this race! Best I can hope for at this point is that they cancel it...

Disneyland Paris Princess Run - Cancelled!

I've had races in late April cancelled, so I don't hold out much hope for this one. Does anyone know their cancellation policy? I haven't been able to find it. I presume it is no refunds?

So I got in, filled out the form and then clicked the pay button and it threw me back to the virtual line???

Disneyland Paris Princess Run - Cancelled!

Well I am in for the Cinderella Challenge. Need to be in the Netherlands the following week anyway, and it is a relatively short train trip between the two (when you have flown from the other side of the world!), so figured why not :)

Official Wine and Dine Half Marathon Weekend 2019

In for the challenge. First trip to WDW and first runDisney race since Dopey 2018. Just the thought of the long flight from Australia though...

    Disney Emoji Blitz

So for the magic keys it is 9 keys for a bronze chest and 22 for silver - was it this high the last time we had this event?

Chicago Marathon 2018 (Oct 7th) DIS Meet Race!

I am feeling terribly unorganised. Going to focus on flights and accommodation next week. I’ve never been to Chicago - is the start/finish line easily accessed by public transport? Just trying to plan my attack in case I can’t get a hotel within walking distance at a reasonable price.

    “It’s for your safety.”

As I mentioned in a previous post - when Disney reached out to me this week in response to my email (wanting more information on what happened during my stay) they were clear - they know they do not have this right yet, and they are actively seeking feedback from people so that they can get this...

    “It’s for your safety.”

This isn’t necessarily true. In my case (where I had them pounding on the door on two consecutive days) - day 1 housekeeping had not yet made it to my room (but I’d done a deal on when they would come back, which was not respected by security) but on day 2, I returned to the room, housekeeping...

    “It’s for your safety.”

In my case, he was in a similar uniform as the housekeeping staff (I say similar because the person doing the security check was male and the housekeepers on my floor female, so they were wearing slightly different uniforms). He was not dressed like Disney security are.

    Do Not Disturb Gone! (BLT)

I had exactly the same thought. I've done this many times in countries where hotels are a high risk target (Indonesia, Turkey etc), and it is not at all intrusive. They do a quick sweep of all cars coming in, and at the door of the hotel there is an x-ray for all luggage just like at the...

New security measure: Do not disturb signs being Removed!

Whilst it is nice to know that some people have had positive recent experiences, it is unfortunately not true for all of us (myself included). I did all the "right" things - I spoke to housekeeping, I requested service after a particular time, I put the 'room occupied' sign up - but I was woken...
