Anyone Going On Any ABD Iceland Trips in 2024

Yes, we are booked on the July 13th trip (myself, husband, adult daughter). I am aware of the instability in the region but probably won’t cancel if AbD is still going. Time will tell I suppose.

The Broadway show thread where we discuss all things Broadway

I did notice the carry through of the melody. It’s brilliant. The first time I saw Merrily, I also saw Sweeney (which I’d seen before) and Here We Are (which I obviously hadn’t). Quite the Sondheim weekend! (But also Parade and Gutenberg to make things thoroughly eclectic.) I’d love a Time...

The Broadway show thread where we discuss all things Broadway

Completely agree. I’ve never seen any iteration of it before, and I just can’t fathom it as a flop. I was so moved.

I was lucky enough to also see James Monroe Iglehart as Genie, and Billy Porter as Lola on the tour (he did the Pittsburgh stop). What amazing talents!

The Broadway show thread where we discuss all things Broadway

So, so many! I saw the original cast of Hamilton several times (and once made Lin-Manuel Miranda laugh at the stage door…), including at Jonathan Groff’s last performance. He made Leslie Odom Jr. break character.😉 Cynthia Erivo in the Color Purple was a straight-up boss. Andrew Garfield in...

The Broadway show thread where we discuss all things Broadway

I have seen it twice (October and January), and I found it just delightful. The first time Lindsay Mendez was out, but the understudy was wonderful. The chemistry really is a bit better with her in, though. The orchestra is great, and the performances were excellent.

New River Cruise: Holland and Belgium

See you there (if all goes well in the interim, of course)!

Isn't it just so much silly fun? Their chemistry is ridiculous. Here is my claim to "fame"--my friend Ryan made nearly all the hats. :)

The Broadway show thread where we discuss all things Broadway

I live in Florida, so I obviously can't be seeing it, but it's an absolutely delightful show! What role are you playing? Have the best time. :)

England and France - no Junior Adventure night?

The Walt Disney World (I think they called it Central Florida) actually did happen--because I was on the inaugural one! There was to be a whole Everglade-ish swamp/alligator day, but it was shortly after the sad death of the child at the Grand Floridian, so that day was swapped for a day at...

    Galapagos!

I was there with Road Scholar in October! Our local guide was Wilo (from Santa Cruz), and he was just lovely. This Disney itinerary visits mostly islands I missed, so I'm headed back. ;)

    Galapagos!

Thank you for taking the time to answer. None of it really matters, of course, but I was curious.

    Galapagos!

Thanks so much for the info! One last question if it's not too much trouble--were there more than two guides since there were 100 people on the ship or were there just the standard two?

    Galapagos!

Hi! I'm leaving on this trip in just a little over a week, and I have a couple questions if you don't mind. Is everyone on the ship with Disney for this sailing? Is the ship full (that is to say--are there 100 people on this itinerary)? Thanks for the info you've provided!

    Costa Rica extra post night(s)

I just left the Costa Rica trip on Tuesday (it was excellent, by the way!). We did not stay any extra time, but some of our fellow guests did. They did just stay at our final hotel (El Mangroove in Guanacaste) and fly out of Liberia a day later. I know that their plans were just to relax at the...

    England/France 8/23

I agree with all of this. My daughter got to OPEN THE DOOR to the crown jewels and be the first person inside for the day (we did the trip in 2019). What a lovely experience. Our guides were the absolute best.

    Amazon Escape?

I'm not sure when you're considering going, but my friend and I are doing the add-on before our Galapagos adventure in June. I can report back if that isn't too late for your decision-making process.

    Greece?

We did Greece this past May, and I have to say we adored it. Our guides had fabulous chemistry, and our other guests were the most cohesive I’ve had, so that probably played into my positive impression, but we all also loved the itinerary. I think I’d move to Crete tomorrow.😉 I’ve been to Delphi...
