New to vacation packages - discounts?

Hello all! I went from going to Disney almost once a month including attending the dis events for about four years straight to not going for well over 2 1/2 years now. We got the itch to go back and booked a vacation package as our passes have expired long ago. We booked at the cabins as we...

    Cabins with a Dog

Hello all, Booking my stay for Fall 2023. In the past we’ve taken our camper but we are wanting to try out the cabins this time and bring our dog. We’ve watched several videos of people taking their dogs and I know there’s a nightly fee but I’m wondering if only certain cabins allow dogs and...

    Tokyo 2022 questions

Hello all! Its been a minute since I have been on this forum (and well over a year and a half since I have been to WDW) my brother bought us tickets for Tokyo because it’s one of his favorite places to visit. Obviously we had to make some changes to dates due to covid and now we are booked for...

    Surge Protector??

Shortly after posting this thread I saw on one of my rv FB groups a lady was asking if her home owners insurance is responsible for her RV electrical system being fried (and all her appliances) because while plugged in at her own home (which she stated she had plugged in there for the last four...

    Surge Protector??

Here at the fort now, I see probably 70% of rigs (many 10x the value of mine) without surge protectors. I’m assuming some chose a hard wired version like progressive industries makes. But I just don’t get it... a $100-$300 device could save you thousands in repairs and replacement of...

If you’re currently staying at the fort.

Come check out our display at 1504! We’ve dreamed this up for a few months now and are pretty happy with the turn out. We added a photo of Mimi kaboom to our display to pay our respects.

FW & my wood burning camp stove?

Hello folks, I am a week away from returning to FW and I’m getting pretty darn excited. I recently acquired a wood burning camp stove that I’ve been using almost daily and I would love to take it with me to the fort. I know Disney’s rules involving campfires and what not but I have also seen...

    Camper on a Pop-up Site

You will most certainly be allowed to use the pop up/tent sites. We use them exclusively for our 16ft TT because we are not against showering in the comfort stations. You will find a lot of other TTs And van conversions in these pop up sites as well. Our last trip our neighbor had a 24ft trailer...

    Some tips for you guys

Oh no! Lol These were all tent campers. We know in our trailer at night you can see right in with any little bit of light on but during the day if the lights are not on someone can change without the world seeing them. After the second time I thought maybe we were at a weird side of the...

    Some tips for you guys

It seems there is some misinformation in the camping side of Disney. I would like to clear up a few things to help new and frequent visitors of FWC. This comes from having stayed only a handful of times in the past year but I still feel it could be really helpful to someone in the future. So...

    Last minute items!

Thank you to everyone for your awesome replies! We felt the fury of mosquitos during our last FW trip which was abnormal for our Disney trips so we’re coming prepared this time with candles. We prefer to eat outside so when we’re camping we like to be bite free! We will be utilizing the...

    Last minute items!

Hey guys! Next Wednesday we will be heading to the fort for 5 days. We have stayed at the fort three times now in a tent (with ac) but this time we are bringing our travel trailer! We have never camped in it before so this should be pretty interesting. We bought it as a fixer upper and have...

    Runaway Camper/Site Question

Back in May we were in the 1500 loop, There were 4 travel trailers ranging from 13ft -18ft in the loop. We have booked a tent/pop up site for August as we have a new travel trailer (15ft) We don’t need sewer hook ups so there’s no reason for us to spend the extra money.

    Trailer in tent site?

Hello All! Last October when we went to FW we stayed in a tent loop (2..something) and noticed one tent site with a travel trailer in it (probably 16 footer) , and another tent site with a pop up camper in it. Is there limitations (other than size) on Having trailers on tent sites? Obviously...

Tent the last week of September

We used a portable AC in our tent last month. I posted about how I created a section in our tent to hold the ac vent hose here: https://www.disboards.com/threads/tent-help-fabric-questions.3710320/ My post is at the bottom of the thread
