    10 day DL pass

We got ours for our trip at the end of the month through our agent at Helloworld. From memory it was $516 per adult, didn't look at the kids prices sorry. I think flight centre also do them.

Best place to eat at Universal Studios Hollywood ?

We haven't really done much research into US, mainly because there's hardly any info out there compared to Disneyland/DCA! We are only doing one day and we will Uber there and back from Anaheim, that's as far as my planning has gone, but we need to have some idea of where to eat lunch. I'm...

    Visiting Australia!

I live in Tasmania, so have had the pleasure of visiting Freycinet, but only on day trips. It's pretty magical, but it would be a long way to come just to do that. I'd only venture down here if you wanted to see more of the island. Port Arthur, MONA, some wineries etc. I've also been to Perth...

Freaking out! In a good way

How exciting viaggiamo! Europe is my next conquest after we do Florida in a few years. Have fun in Italy!

Freaking out! In a good way

I did look at doing a cruise out of San Diego, but they were all only 2 or 3 nights and it didn't seem worth it. I'm still hanging on for a Florida/Bahamas trip sometime in the future, I'll get my cruise then :) I'm all booked for Disneyland though! DH and I leave Hobart on April 28th (my...

Freaking out! In a good way

I’m glad to hear the aerial tramway is worth doing, that’s on our list along with a mid century modern house tour and just some general sightseeing. I’d welcome some ideas on places to eat if anyone has any to recommend. I’m all set for places to eat at Disney, but Palm Springs is a mystery! We...

Freaking out! In a good way

Thanks again the other day crazy cat lady, I probably should have mentioned that I'm in Hobart, so the extra travel time and dollars have made doing WDW not worth it. Plus, the parent guilt also kicked in pretty badly, though we figured that we could get away with going to DLR because the kids...

Freaking out! In a good way

That helps a lot, thank you birthday buddy! After reading that you felt you could do that all in 7 days, I feel confident that we can do almost as much. We don't normally see the value in Park Hoppers, but I think in this situation, it would be a must for us, and if we did US we would pay the...

Freaking out! In a good way

Hi everyone, I haven't been in here much since my last Disneyland trip in 2014, because I thought it would be many more years before I got a chance to go back. Buuuuut my 40th birthday is coming up, and my parents have said they would like to give me some money for travel, so combined with some...

    June/July 2017 NY/DC/BOSTON/CANADA/D23 Expo PTR

If you mean this journal: it's on sale at Zing at the moment for $15 :) I bought a Deathly Hallows journal from there for one of my kids friends a few weeks ago. I too am looking forward to reading your trip report once you're back, it all sounds very exciting!

Has anyone done Disney with just their partner and left the kids at home?

Oh God guys! I had resolved to just wait it out til Star Wars land opens and all go as a family, but now I'm back to being not sure. Jacs - all the things you listed are the things that made me wonder about not taking them in the first place. The plane flight last time was "interesting" to put...

Has anyone done Disney with just their partner and left the kids at home?

How exciting Jodybird! I'd love to do WDW (but again - too expensive for us!). Our Aussie six, we flew for about $7000 for the six of us last time, so I'd be happy if I could get flights around $1000pp. As for accommodation, we were a bit spoiled last time - not by the hotel, but by the...

Has anyone done Disney with just their partner and left the kids at home?

Thanks guys :) If it were any other type of holiday, I would have no trouble going without the kids, but it's Disney! And now my 13 year old is giant sized (185cm/6ft) it's really hard to find one room to fit us all in, so it's 2 rooms everywhere we go, on top of stupidly expensive airfares...

Has anyone done Disney with just their partner and left the kids at home?

Hi all, I haven't been a regular member here for a couple of years (and even then, I only posted a handful of times!), but I'm itching to get back to Disneyland, so have started lurking in here again, catching up. I'd really like to get back to DL with my husband and the kids, but we have 4 of...

    Rental Cars/Child Seats

We rented a car seat for our 4 year old last October, all we asked for was a seat appropriate for him as per their laws and we got a harnessed seat. He only just fit, head poking just out of the shell, and straps going a bit far down behind his shoulders. Seat was old looking but clean. I...

    From LAX... straight to DL

I'd say without kids, it's very do-able. We had our 4 kids with us, and none of them slept more than 3 hours on the way over, we got in at 10.30am, and there's no way we could have gone straight to the parks, we were stuffed, dinner at 5, bed at 6.30 and we were still tired and cranky the next...

How do you 'watch' for flight sales??

I used Kayak to find our airfares, showed our travel agent, she couldn't beat it, so booked it through them for us. Was the cheapest we could find, but it meant that we had to use Delta from LA to Honolulu, which would put some people off. We had a fine flight with them.

How do you deal with your PDSD (Post Disney Stress Disorder) when welive so far away?

It's hit me hard! We've only just gotten back from our first Disney trip (2 weeks ago) and I'm already scheming a way to get back there. DH is soooo sick of me saying "we could use our frequent flyer points and just top them up...." Or "let's just ask for travel vouchers for every birthday and...

Where is everyone that went Sept/Oct

I'm stalling on mine - I don't know where to start! Plus, some very smart person (me), suggest that we put the photos on DH's computer, and I never get a chance to get on there. After I copy them over here I'll start, I promise :) It probably won't be anything new for those of you who've been...
