I don't think they've released the course for that race yet. Last year, it went through Epcot and Hollywood Studios and the roads nearby, so getting to Magic Kingdom would probably not be a problem. Some races go from Epcot to Magic Kingdom and back, which would make that transit difficult...
All insurance and warranties have a negative expected utility. On average, you will pay more for the coverage than you would without the coverage. It's all about risk-tolerance and your ability to save to cover unexpected expenses.
A screen replacement costs $100 for my phone. Would I rather...
You also have to think about the point chart. Or, maybe more to the point, the total amount they collect compared to the number/type of rooms. If the dues are half as much, but there are twice as many points required to stay there, then it all kind of balances out.
Did the POT limit get extended? I thought they required a 2:15 or lower POT for the half, but I saw 2:30 when I registered for the W&D last week. I've run a 2:19 half, so I was going to try to push it a bit, but maybe I can already submit a POT.
They will make no effort to get your two rooms close together. It won't figure into their decision at all. It's going to be a risk, so you'll have to decide if it's worth the risk.
There's a trick to figure out your cabin after you check in. I didn't think they assigned anything until then, which is 45 days from sailing. At that point, add your pass to your Apple Wallet and look at the numbers under the barcode, or scan the barcode with google lens(?) or whatever will...
This is your reminder that @runDisAlerts on the platform formerly known as Twitter can notify you when spots open up. I think it's how I've registered for my past two races after missing release day.
I was on the treadmill getting my gait analyzed when my alarm went off for registration. I joined late, and still have over an hour on my link. If anyone has anything better, I'd appreciate it.
You can make a reservation or you can just show up. There's a line for people with reservations and a separate line for people without. On one cruise, it seemed like the no-reservation line was 45-minutes long, but on another cruise, there was no line at all.
The show times aren't consistent...
When I googled the number, I get a hit for a thread from four years ago talking about the call from DVC, and a link to the DVC web page. It seems legit to me.
When your flight is changed by more than a certain threshold of time, you are allowed to change to "any available flight" regardless of fare class. There's no additional charge.
This is a common concept in Hawaii. You own the building, but Disney owns the land. At the end of the ground lease, they take ownership of everything on their property.
I'm not a huge fan of Riviera. I think it looks like a basic building with lots of rooms crammed together. But, my favorite resort is Bay Lake Tower, which gets the same complaints from other people. So, it's really all your own personal preference.
Boardwalk expires much sooner. If you...
I remember hearing that they wouldn't be able to take payments for dues today; something about the accounting systems and "too busy processing automatic payments" according to another post here. But the banner message at the top of the screen says that you can pay dues online today despite the...
I feel like they're still not telling you the truth. When you book a cruise, those points become "reservation points" and are no longer in the DVC system. You can't cancel and get those points back; they can only be used for cruises and hotel reservations at that point, not DVC reservations.
