    DAS Wait Time Dilemma

We go annually to Disney since 2007. Every time we work on decreasing the times that my son, who is now 19, needs to use a DAS return. We use FPP and stand-by for most of the rides. Hopefully this will explain my question in the first post. My son once he tells me which attraction he wants to...

Moderator please close this thread. I will not tolerate being called an DAS abuser, by someone who doesn't even know me. Thanks.

    DAS Wait Time Dilemma

To clarify, I wouldn't have asked for a wait time based on a third party app. However, I don't think it's wrong to ask for an adjustment to the DAS return if a minute later the wait time drops significantly and I'm still in the area.

    DAS Wait Time Dilemma

I'm part of the Liner Community on Touringplans. On their site, they post both Disney's posted wait time and an estimated wait time based on submitted by thousands of users. Disney is known for inflating wait times to disperse guests. I was looking at Barnstormer at 6:21 and the posted wait...

    New Credit Card Authorization Holds

This is another case where Disney doesn't think things through. Yes it's very common for hotels to ask for a card to be kept on file and even place a small authorization hold. However, hotels charges are fees associated with doing business with the hotel. It would have been better if on MDE...

    Kids with anxiety disorders

My 19 year old ASD/ADHD loves going to Disney. Around the age of 12 symptoms of anxiety disorder started. His Psychiatrist placed him on medication and with help from social stories on what to expect, his anxiety issues has greatly decreased. His stress triggers was increased when we didn't...

    Just back, DAS return time

Sometimes Disney best intentions misses the mark. Over the years we have made tremendous strides with my son. The biggest hurdle we face is obtaining DAS return times. I rely heavily upon my husband to keep our son distracted while I go seek out a DAS return, since he still hasn't grasp that...

    Just back, DAS return time

Question: Why is everyone here so concerned over people who use DAS think that person is getting an "Advantage". I see more able-bodies over the years circumvent Disney's loop holes that took a long time for Disney to close. Example Rider Switch. Parents went around collecting cards and...

    Just back, DAS return time

I have been following this thread and trying to see everone's point of view. A quick background. I am the parent of a 19 year old who has been using the DAS system and prior to it the GAC. We mostly use FPP and maybe 1 to 2 DAS per park day. Over the years my son's tolerance levels for...

    Place to Park Wheelchair?

My family and I will be making our annual trip to WDW in May. Our 19 year old son, has autism and moderate cognitive disorder. For the most part he does really well navigating there. Last year we noticed a decline in his endurance, which may have been from heat. We are thinking of renting a...

Should we get DAS return for FOP and get FP for Na'vi?

My family and I have been visiting Disney World annually, since my son was 5 years old. He is now 18. During those many visits, we made sure never to take "advantage" because of his disabilities. This means taking into account the wait times of the attractions and dividing it by the park...

Should we get DAS return for FOP and get FP for Na'vi?

I don't think there was a need for that type of comment. First off, people choose whether or not to wait 4 hours for a ride. Saying that, I also know that Disney inflates their wait time. So asking for this is not unreasonable. I'm not asking for a 90 minute return time. At the end of they...

Should we get DAS return for FOP and get FP for Na'vi?

My son, who also will be using DAS wants to ride both FOP and Na'vi Ride this year. Last year he was fine with just Na'vi, but after watching the movie Avatar, he has shown interest in riding FOP. I plan on getting there at rope drop and picking up a DAS return for FOP, since he has other...
