    Tiana’s Bayou AP Preview?

Yeah that's pure speculation. Cast members get blocked and unblocked at the most random times. Right now they're blocked from MK for the entire month of June and the first week of July, which in my opinion is pretty crappy for someone like a CP or ICP who is only working there for a limited...

DAS changes coming WDW May 20/ DL June 18, 2024

I'm skeptical. I'm not sure it's going to make a difference in wait times. As a local, I know a lot of people who use DAS- annual pass holders who go multiple times per week and there are cast members who have DAS, too. And I have 2 kids who are neurodivergent but we actually don't use DAS...

    Characters

I totally understand that you want to share the magic, but I don't know if you're aware of this, but if that is a photo of YOU identifying yourself as a "friend" of Cinderella along with other insider info like who you're friends with, that is a fireable offense. There are lots of cast members...

Question on the RotR Cast Members (Queue Spoilers)

My youngest is neurodivergent and does not like the interactions at all and the cast members get the hint and leave her alone. A couple of times (we're local so we go a lot) I've had to specifically-and kindly- tell them that she is scared and doesn't want to play- and they always leave her...

    Pecos Bill toppings bar

That's why I tell people to not trust any site for info unless it's the actual Disney site. All of these sites and bloggers and YouTubers want to share information and it's often outdated, inaccurate, or speculation. Even PlanDisney has dished out inaccurate info.

    Pecos Bill toppings bar

I would be surprised if it ever comes back. It's a massive expense for foods that cost guests absolutely nothing, as well as the cost of labor. And let's just add in the absolute disgust of guest behavior with greediness and trying to create salads for a whole family, letting the spoons touch...

Help! Grandparents trying to plan a family WDW adventure and overwhelmed!

I agree about this. Plan some airbnb time. One of the things my kids have loved when we have a large family gathering is just the hanging out. Swimming, board games, crafts, baking cookies, whatever. My oldest is an adult now, but one of the things she often mentions about large family...

Magic Kingdom Barber Shop - Women's Haircut?

I'm local and a woman and there is absolutely no way I'd let them touch my hair. That said, if you just want a spritz of water with a trim of all length hair and your hair is thin, then go for it, and know that it's more difficult to get an even cut on longer hair with just a spray water...

    Merida anywhere to be seen?

We saw her at CRT in November. It was a nice surprise because we weren't expecting her. Other than that, the only recent place I have seen her is in the parade.

Autograph book, big, pen, pressed penny, book…

They've gone up a little. I think the 2024 autograph books are now $22.99 and the big pens are $9.99 I'm not sure about the penny press book but they're probably somewhere between $15-20 since I think they were around $15 for the 2023 ones.

Should Disney Park Tickets Be Cheaper on Days With Early Special Event Closure?

What a slippery slope of a bad idea. Sometimes the park closes at 9, sometimes it's midnight. Are we going to expect discounts when the parade only goes out once per day instead of twice? Or when Tinkerbell doesn't fly during the fireworks? Or maybe we should all get discounts because Tiana's...

Visiting other pools outside your resort

I think instead of doing a split stay, I'd suggest going to a water park instead. Both are much nicer than that pool.

Too crowded at Magic Kingdom lately

Since Covid, I think the high/low times have shifted. People have realized that it's hot and miserable in the Summer so they're going during what used to be off season. More people are working remotely, more willing to pull kids out of school, more homeschoolers than pre-covid, and international...

    Late Check Out Request?

My experience as well as experience from friends and family is that it is pretty rare. You can check out of your resort and still use the pool and have bell services hold your luggage. I think that Polynesian has showers that you can use near the pool.

Proof of Age - Tall 2 year old

Well thankfully everyone doesn't operate with that careless line of thinking and many people do care. Can you imagine if every person who worked at Disney or a store anywhere just thought, "well, my pay isn't linked to this" while they watch people walk out with big screen TVs,

Proof of Age - Tall 2 year old

I wonder if that may have changed. I was recently talking with a few people who work at the turnstiles at MK and they were telling me some crazy stories about people attempting to not pay for kids who were definitely older than 2 and they were allowed to and do refuse entry sometimes.

    Chefs de France

We went there a few months ago and ordered the French onion soup and beef Bourgignon. The soup was standard French onion soup. Good, but nothing different than that kind of soup anywhere else. The Beef entree was so horribly salty that we couldn't even finish it. And I'm a salt craver, but this...

Help! Grandparents trying to plan a family WDW adventure and overwhelmed!

We've done very large group trips with my in-laws and I'm going to be honest- they were so stressful that we no longer do them. I'd encourage everyone to do their own thing, what they want, and maybe meet up for meals or a couple of special rides, as someone mentioned earlier. One of the things...

    Terralina or Maria & Enzo'z?!

Yep. Add that to the many, many reasons why I don't recommend the dining plan. Maria & Enzo is not disgusting. But it is not impressive at all. I'd rather eat at Olive Garden and I don't really like Olive Garden. I guess if I had to choose one or the other, I'd choose Terralina. But I...

Is there an age limit for the disney college program?

You could do that as a part-timer too and get paid more than college program, not have to work as many hours, and not live in a dorm. lol. I know part timers who give away all of their shifts so that they keep the Disney benefits but not have to actually work there.
