MAY 2023! CANCELLED ADR Thread - Guidelines in first post

I have an ADR for 4 at Akershus on May 4 at 3:10 that I’m going to cancel. I’m not sure exactly how to coordinate but am willing to give it a shot.

    CRT Party Size Limits

Hi - I know that some restaurants reservations have an issue with larger or odd party sizes. We have a group of 5 and I want to be able to quickly book CRT. Should I be choosing 5, 6, or split the party 3, 2? It never used to be so difficult. Thanks.

    Trip Decision and Planning

Thank you for your generous and thoughtful response! I’m sure for some it may seem like I’m being overly cautious but unfortunately the good old fashioned flu has been cause for an ICU stay for us in the past. After talking through it with some friends yesterday we went ahead and booked. YAY...

    Trip Decision and Planning

Hi - we are considering a day at the Magic Kingdom on the 1st of March, a Monday. That is generally considered a quieter day of the week, I think. I know there is a reservation system now to limit crowds and a very stringent mask policy. How has it been? I’ll be taking my daughter who has severe...

Cruise with 21 Y/O Full Time Wheelchair User

Hi - I’m curious if anyone has experienced a Disney Cruise with a young adult in a wheelchair. My daughter with severe CP loves all things Disney and we’ve done WDW multiple times. I’ve started wondering if a cruise would be good for her. It seems like she’d be excluded from kids activities...

Be Our Guest Lunch FastPass Thread [PLEASE read the FAQs in the first post!]

Since we're not going until later in November, I'm hoping they've figured out what is going on. For now, I'm just going to follow the thread with everyone else. Good luck to everyone!

WDW -Disability Access Service (DAS) - ARCHIVED THREAD; no longer vslid

We did not use FastPass for Jungle Cruise or Small World. We went to Small World fairly early in the day and were directed through the exit like in the past. We waited for the wheelchair boat for a short period of time and were then put on. No one was waiting for it when we came back around...

WDW -Disability Access Service (DAS) - ARCHIVED THREAD; no longer vslid

We had the nice experience you talked about when entering the park a couple of times. Basically suggesting that I use my finger for her. This one time at DHS, admonished was the correct word. Unfortunately it went beyond helpful suggestion. We later discovered that the problem was my...

WDW -Disability Access Service (DAS) - ARCHIVED THREAD; no longer vslid

I wrote on here with questions before so I wanted to give a report about our experience with the card. We just finished 5 days in 3 of the parks with our DD who has CP and is in a wheelchair. I was super worried before we went about how things were going to go with the changes to the pass. We...

WDW -Disability Access Service (DAS) - ARCHIVED THREAD; no longer vslid

We are planning on going to the parks for 4 days but it looks like the tickets we'll be getting are for 4 days with a 5th day free. Given that, we're thinking that we may take our first day in Orlando and head over to one of the parks in the afternoon to get the DAS squared away and maybe ride...

    Cinderella's Table Wheelchair Seating

Thanks everyone! I'll make sure I talk to them about it again. I know I put it in the reservation notes but it's always better to talk to a person. I'll keep in mind asking about not being so out of the way. We're a party of 5 this time. I really appreciate all of you giving your input!

    Cinderella's Table Wheelchair Seating

Hi, We have dinner reservations at Cinderella's Royal Table and I'm curious about wheelchair seating. We've never been to CRT so I have no idea what to expect. I plan to call Dining to talk about food for DD because she has limitations and figured I would confirm seating at that time. For...

WDW -Disability Access Service (DAS) - ARCHIVED THREAD; no longer vslid

Thanks for so much information, Sue! Our DD is an inconsistent driver so we will be driving her using the attendant joystick (she's outgrown her manual chair). We've had her in this chair in the wheelchair cars. None of us could remember for sure last night so we went back to pictures! :-)...

WDW -Disability Access Service (DAS) - ARCHIVED THREAD; no longer vslid

We'd prefer she stay in her chair if possible. She can never transfer to another type of wheelchair. She's needs 100% assist and is closing in on 90 pounds at 5'4". At our local amusement park, built in the 70's, the wrapping nature of the lines are where we have trouble as well as the...

WDW -Disability Access Service (DAS) - ARCHIVED THREAD; no longer vslid

That's part of my question, if they say we're all set without the DAS, what does that mean logistically? It's been a couple of years since we've been and, since she's always been in a wheelchair, I'm not familiar with the queues. I know there are a few rides where she can stay in her chair and...

WDW -Disability Access Service (DAS) - ARCHIVED THREAD; no longer vslid

Hi - new here but I've read so much and learned a lot so far. In reading the first post in this thread it talks about people in wheelchairs not needing the DAS. I have yet to read an experience that someone being in a wheelchair has had. My DD (age 15) has CP and is in a power chair that is...
