PORTOFINO BAY HOTEL INFO...FAQ`s and more.......

Club level late April 2021 I’m hoping this might help someone now. I’m not so good with taking pics, but this is a try. We are leaving tomorrow from PBR, and we added club level to our minion room. We did this previously in late 2018, so I can kind of compare club level from back then to now...

    Childcare?

Thank you both so much! That looks like exactly what I need.

    Childcare?

My husband and I are traveling to Orlando for a work presentation, and we’re trying to find a childcare situation for one weekday morning. Do any of the hotels offer on-site childcare? Has anyone found a trustworthy/reliable nanny service? Also, does anyone know if the Portofino Bay evening...

Which Orlando parks for 2.5 days?

Thank you! Last month I booked 4 nights at Portofino Bay, but then I started second guessing my decision. It’s so hard to know what’s best when everything feels so different.

Which Orlando parks for 2.5 days?

My husband and I have a business meeting in Orlando at the end of the month. We are going to bring our kids down with us. We have 2 whole days and at least another long 1/2 day we can go to any park. I read recent reviews (albeit spring break craziness time period) about Kennedy Space Center and...

PPO BOG - Will gluten free meal hold us up?

Meh. It wasn’t our first breakfast there. Just our first PPO there. We knew what we were getting into as far as quality of food. My DD was still excited to walk into the rose room and see the insides, but the food is more like what you’d expect from an elementary school cafeteria. It’s a very...

PPO BOG - Will gluten free meal hold us up?

Just to update from our trip in January... GF at BOG was easy this time around. We got in line for SDMT just fine. Unfortunately SDMT was “experiencing a delayed opening” and we stood in line for an hour before finally giving up. Ugh. We asked for a FP, but they said no. What a waste! Missed...

    crowd "predictor" question

Unfortunately no one can predict when rides go down. I’ve never had such bad luck with rides as I have today and yesterday. There’s no touring plan to help decide what to do when you rope drop or PPO ADR for the “big” rides, and then they’re down. Or what to do when you’re in line for 45+...

READ POST 1 & 2 FIRST-Rise of the Resistance Boarding Group Planning and Information-*No Spoilers*

I didn’t look at my phone exactly. I realized this later. I was trying to be sneaky because I knew our odds and didn’t want my kids disappointed- they don’t realize we missed a ride that’s a really big deal. I took a pic of my parking spot at 7:04am, so I’m guessing it was around 7:20am.

We finally gave up and left the park. I was able to snag a backup boarding group (#129) for my family of 5 early this morning. I received a push notification around 2:38pm that “Unfortunately we will not be able to accommodate your backup group today”. We were disappointed for that news, but...

Skyliner or rental car from AoA to HS

Thank you! How long of a ride is it from AoA to HS when it’s mid-day? And what about after Fantasmic? Is the Skyliner or parking lot less crowded?

Skyliner or rental car from AoA to HS

I haven't really researched the skyliner because I've been dreading it (fear of heights), but we're here now and my kids are begging. I said we could ride it, even if just for fun. Sigh. The stuff I do for my kids!!! So which is faster to get to HS from AoA in the mornings - skyliner or...

READ POST 1 & 2 FIRST-Rise of the Resistance Boarding Group Planning and Information-*No Spoilers*

So we go to HS next week. Tuesday. I had pretty much given up on getting a BG once they switched park opening from 8 to 7, but we do have a SDD FP at 9:00. I’m not going to speed over just for RotR, but I will check to see if any backup groups are available once we get there. - Are they getting...

PPO BOG - Will gluten free meal hold us up?

Great! Thank you! Our adr is 8:05. I’m still preparing mentally for that early start. Lol. I keep checking for SDMT FP, but it looks like bog is our best bet. My DD requested BOG anyway, so it’s not horrible.... just the timing. I just want to make sure the early wake up and outrageously priced...

PPO BOG - Will gluten free meal hold us up?

Does anyone have experience with ordering GF for an early morning ADR at BOG? Will ordering gluten free at BOG slow down our breakfast? Obviously I have this adr to get a head start on SDMT. Thanks!

If skipping RoTR, what time to get to HS for Jedi training?

Now that they have changed the opening times to 7:00am on the day of my visit, I need to give up hope of riding RoTR this time. Annoying but not the end of the world. However, my kids would still like to do Jedi Training and ride MFSR. We have 9am fast passes for SDD. If we take a more relaxed...

    11 year old at CRT

I showed the menu to my 11 year old today, and he was disappointed with the adult choices... especially the appetizers. Are they flexible with meal options? Will they let him order off the kid's menu? Even if they charge us the adult amount, can they just serve him an adult portion of the kid's...

BOG Breakfast~ does everyone have to order?

I searched, and although I couldn't find my answer, it does seem that changes have been made to BOG since the last time I was there. I've also never pre-ordered food, but I think i'll try it this time. I have a PPO ADR for BOG. It seems like a lot of food for a quick breakfast. Do we ALL need...

Would you consider the Fantasmic Dessert Box a light dinner?

Last time we did it, we were surprised by the quantity of food. It looks like it's even more now? I know it has cheese and crackers. I'm wondering if it's enough food to be a light dinner that night? * I'm not suggesting a dessert box is a healthy dinner but it's Disney, right? LOL!
