    Annual Reading Challenge--2020

    22. Moriarity by Anthony Horowitz From Goodreads: Riveting and deeply atmospheric, Moriarty is the first Sherlock Holmes novel sanctioned by the author's estate since Horowitz's House of Silk. This tale of murder and menace breathes life into Holmes's fascinating world, again proving that once...

    LL Bean backpacks

We got my DD a jr size for kindergarten which she used for a couple of years then moved up to a regular sized one. We still use the jr one now, 28 years later!, because sometimes you just don't need a big bag. She used her second LLBean bag until high school when the zipper broke and she...

Spin-Off of the Shirt Thread: Do You Wear T-Shirts

Almost all the time. I coach a Y swim team and we get 4 or 5 new ones every year. I've coached for 40 years... So I have plenty and I don't pay for them either! I have some plain, better quality T-shirts in nice colors that I consider dressed up! :D

Spinoff thread: What's been cancelled for you?

4 birthdays but we would have done one celebration for all of those Work, sort of. They laid everybody off in early May but I was slated to retire in late May so I just went early. Our first trip to Europe! Really sad about that one.

What is still hard to find?

Of all the crazy things to be out of...gravy mix. Totally wiped out of that whole section of various spice mixes, gravy, chili, etc. I though they would be back the next time I went but a week later, still out. How strange!

When do you think regular medical appts. will start up?

My doctor’s office is still open. I go in tomorrow for labs. They check every one at the door for fever before they let you in. My physical is next week and they told me to come if I wanted. But things could easily change by next week and they may have to postpone.

Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Friday already! It's gone kind of fast for me. On the sad side my neighbor of 29 years passed yesterday at home. It is devastating for his family, of course, but he was also a wonderful person loved by all. He was just 62. I'm supposed to be "working at home" but haven't accomplished much...

Quarantine and chill and kindness chatty clubhouse: Jump in and join the conversation! All is welcome!

Finally ventured out to the store today. Neither the Aldi or the Foodlion had any beef. So there goes the Beef barley soup I was going to make. Other than that they were both pretty well stocked or what one was out of the other had. Tonight is going to be grilled chicken tenderloins and...

When do you think grocery shopping will have a sense of normalcy again?

We just got back from our local major chain grocery. Everything was pretty well stocked except TP. It was busy but they had all the registers open. I've never seen that before! I ran into a friend whose college age sons were sent home so her cart looked like she was a major hoarder. 😆 Nope...
