What time do shore excursions start?

I do believe that the first people allowed off the ship are those on excursions? At least I thought that was how it worked. We rarely do excursions and sometimes don’t even get off the ship, but generally if you wait until 9 or later you can walk off quickly. But as someone noted, if you have...

For those who live in the Chicago area (stadium related)...

I live in Evanston, just north of chicago. I love the bears but rarely go to games. I don’t think public money should be used. At the same time, though, I think the ideas they have proposed are good and personally I would like to see them stick it to the Friends of the Park, an elite group...

Can you carry your luggage to your room

As soon as luggage arrives in my room, I’m unpacking and spraying our clothes with wrinkle free when hung up.

Give me your best advice to save me from foot pain

OOFOs are my go to shoe for long days. Very soft but built in support (my PT recommended them when 8n has Achilles tendinitis). Yiu can wear with or without socks. But the socks i love for long walks are Feetures. They have support built in and are marked for left or right feet. Bombas are...

    EBTA late dining

We have done the transatlantic both directions with late dining. Those ships are never full and the late dining room was about 3/4 full so I don’t think you would have any problem. We love the TAs…lots of sea days, varied entertainment, very relaxing.

    Waitin’ on a friend

There are comfortable chairs and lots of places to shop and eat assuming you are in the main terminal. But definitely have a plan if her flight is delayed beyond a certain point. For me, 90 minutes would probably be too long. I’d just take an Uber or cab and meet her at the resort with a drink...

    Can you mourn a tree?

I grew up in a small town just down the street from my grandma. In her yard was a magnificent willow tree. In the summer the branches and leaves hung to the ground and made a great place to hide under, for games like hide and seek or just to sit and contemplate the world. That tree is long gone...

    Are you a good "dieter"?

Terrible at dieting. I finally gave up and realized I will always be about 20 pounds over what would be ideal. But I’m healthy, active, love sports, try to wear flattering and youthful clothes for my age (74). And I refuse to give up my red wine or good food. For me, I’ve decided life is too...

    OKW Just Back Thoughts/Observations

OKW is our favorite resort. But we always reserve early to get a one bedroom across from the hospitality house. I have a disabled daughter and we always bring her friend so they can walk by themselves back and forth to the pool and comm7nity house. We rarely do the parks anymore so we love OKW...

    Expiring points...what would you do?

Last year I realized I had points expiring with less than 30 days. I made a last minute reservation using all but 10 points and then I put those days for rent at a discounted price. It got picked up immediately. Win win for me and the couple that purchased the trip.

Transatlantic - Tell Me All the Things!

We have done both the eastbound and westbound TAs one on the Disney magic, the other on the Dream. And we have done the transpacific from hawaii to Sydney. All were fabulous, we love sea days. You can do as much or as little as yiu want. I’m a pool person so my day is sitting by the pool...

    OKW size / walking distance

OKW is our favorite resort but we always get a Room which is close to hospitality house so it’s right across the street. I’d say yiu could walk as far as 5 to 6 blocks (maybe a little farther) if you were in the farthest rooms. There are two other pools closer to the rooms thst are farther...

What was your favourite date night to have with your parents growing up?

Last Minute trip for hubby and I! How to stretch our budget?

Disney springs has lots of entertainment for free just walking around. if you don’t want to eat at raglan road you can still go to the bar and have a drink to watch the entertainment or stand outside to see the entertainment at the outside venue there. You could share wine and an app at the wine...

Favorite resort for pool days with babies/ toddlers

Old Key West. It’s a small compact area with a great pool, slide, playground, sandy area to play. Right next to community center with lots of activities for kids. And there is a pool party every day with fun activities.

At What Age Do You Not Replace a Dog?

I lost my beloved Corgi over 2 years ago, we had corgis for over 30 years, first getting adults thst needed homes and then getting puppies. He was sick and feeble for a few months and I nursed him like a baby. The grief was overwhelming. I still cry when I think of him. A few months after...

    Which reservation for California Grill?

I’d do the 9 pm. Get there early to get a drink and go out on the balcony to see the fireworks. Thst late, you will probably get a table as soon as yiu arrive. But sitting at the bar and watching the kitchen staff is fun.
