Should Previously Closed Parks Be Refurbished & Re-Opened?

Wouldn't it be to the Disney Park System advantage to re-open the two previously permanently closed parks: River Country Water Park & Discovery Island? Seems like there are enough visitors to utilize those parks if opened. Both employees and visitors would get an advantage with an additional...

    Sizzix For Jewelry Making

I frequently watch Beads, Baubles & Jewels on PBS and, once in a while, they show someone making leather jewelry pieces and cutting them with a die machine. I have been searching all over the place for info about this die cutting machine and now I am seeking input. Has anyone any experience...

    My Siggy Keeps Changing

Every once in a while, I sign in and someone has changed something about my siggy. I had a link in my siggy that showed a gif from a Disney site. Now it is completely gone and no one has said a word to me about making a change. And it wasn't even taken "well". Now I see IMG is showing in my...

    Calling All Knitters and Crocheters!!!

I am glad I found this thread. I will be watching what everyone else is doing. I hadn't crocheted for more than 20 years and I got a sudden urge to pick it up again but I couldn't remember how to crochet (I am old, unfortunately). I took a class at Joann's and a lot of it came back to me...

Tickets at work upgrade to AP questions

We bought a Costco package with (2) 2 day + 2 day free tickets, 4 nights at the Holiday Inn across the street, and a discount code toward a shuttle from/to the airport for $ 807. We upgraded our tickets to (2) Preferred Passes and it cost us an additional $ 255.60 ($ 127.80 each). We are happy...

    STARBUCK MUGS

When we went a couple of days ago, they did not offer the park mugs at Disney Springs locations. However, they are selling some online: https://www.shopdisney.com/parks/home (the small ones that appear to be hanging are ornaments).

Have you ever been approached by a scout?

On this trip, we were approached to watch a new TV series and express what we thought of it. They asked both of us to participate and we each received a $40 gift card. They paid for a couple of meals. :sunny:

    Annual Passholder Lounge

When we went to the AP Lounge a couple of weeks ago, they had the snacks in baskets in the window behind the counter so you had to walk up to the counter and ask for a snack. The employees are friendly....if you are younger. Not so much if you are older. DH asked me twice why anyone would want...

    Small Business Saturday 2018

Is AE not doing the special offers they have done in the past? I don't see any rebate for using the card at local businesses this year. I don't really see anything special this year.

Have you ever been approached by a scout?

At the time, I thought they wanted him to be in a crowd in a movie. But, now, I wonder if they wanted him to be a part of the wrestling shows they were doing at the time. :confused3 Next time we will check it out.

Have you ever been approached by a scout?

I recently saw a car commercial that I thought looked like it was filmed 'on the streets' at USO. But that isn't really (public) filming. I got chosen to do a survey on paper plates, once, and they gave me a USO gift card for my time. That was fun! They probably don't do that any more either.

Have you ever been approached by a scout?

We are both in our 60's now but, when we were younger, we were approached at one of the parks by a woman who identified herself as a scout. She asked DH if he would be interested in being in a bar scene as he looked like a biker and that was what was needed. I think this was our first trip to...
